gutted front right tyre is flat

im hoping it’s just a nail and can be repaired but there low anyways I’d say max 3 months. But want Christmas out the way first

the over night storm has caused havoc up there and there’s tiles and roofs blown down Walls trees all over. That’s why I think it could be a nail. Can’t get it off now as the winds still blowing around 50/60

am i right in thinking i don’t need to change all four just the front 2 with the Quattro system ?

Correct, 2-3 mm difference between front and back shouldn't be a problem, but I wouldn't suggest rocking front's almost worn to limit and backs - brand new.

Audi A4 B9 3.0 TDi quattro 200 kw

I don’t know what the backs are on but they’ve been on the same amount of time as the fronts.

if it can’t be repaired I’ll be replacing the front to and leaving the backs will this be fine ?

If your rears are low and anything less then 6mm I would change all four, or maybe see if you can get a part worn ? Either suck the cost up now or potentially damage the diff which would be far more expensive. It’s well known that quattro needs a fairly even tyre wear. Why not just get a winter set.

ill whip it off today and see what the problem is and check the rears to see how worn they are.

I ideally don’t want to foot the cost as once Christmas is out the way I want to upgrade to a a6 avant. It’s just sods law isn’t it

Well tyre is a gonner. Screw close to the edge

after looking in the owners manual it only states they should be the same make size and tread pattern doesn’t mention anything about depth. So I’ve ordered 2 of the same tyres.
