Tracking our new RS3?

I've had a couple of demo's in an M2, original M2 was horrible on corner exit it felt as if it went up on tip toes, M2 Competition much better at the rear, that felt as if it rolled slightly, took it's 'set' and dug in, but both hopeless in less than ideal conditions

Had an m2 comp and tbh I think you’re overdoing the comment in the wet…. It was very linear power delivery and had an amazing front end in particular so was very manageable.

You couldnt slam your foot in the carpet like the rs3 (golf r etc) without being spat out the other side but it was still very capable in the wet too… you just couldn’t take liberties

6% price increase remember l think once the hype has subsided ie in 6 months time you'll get e better deal on one but at heart your a RS Anorak....lol thing is to go up the RS ladder your not gaining much performance wise RS4/RS5 just a jump in quality of materials used in the cabin I'll think there is a car coming to the market that will at least equal the RS3 8Y and THAT is the new M2 of which will have at least 400 ponies Xdrive and a better cabin....but that's due out early 2023

Don’t like BMW’s, never have…….

I did chase a 340i in the wet in my 7.5R and only just hung on tbh, but they're xdrive anyway,

I keep going around in circles regarding my RS3, just looking to see what else would fit the bill before the RS3 arrives, I end up looking at 340D touring, then decide it hasnt got the looks and would need Tech Plus pack which is fairly rare, then onto RS4 but that would need to be a £60-70k one and so hard to find with ACC, plus I dont like the I pad look of the touchscreen and then realise Wifey may struggle with a large ish estate car at Waitrose.
I did look seriously at M2 Competition around a year ago but then my 4 legged mate arrived so that was that idea gone, every time I read a good review or I find my order has BW and then that comes forward i'm convinced for 1/2 day it's got to be the RS3 and then I start looking around again

Sorry....lol

Blimey are they that bad :grimacing:

It can be good on a long run.

Around town / daily runs not so much lol.

When remapped, lol go figure.

When running on E30 an extra £30 on top of petrol fill up.

Can’t argue last gen in the wet, which is why I said if they have trick diff or go with xdrive, will solve all of that

Yeah it hard to defend that… or the green version

Defend the extended leather option on the underside of the dash ? Flip side to that coin how can you Defend the darkest interior out in the RS3 no excuse ye can't especially on a £52k £60k plus car

Not a BMW fan myself but the new M3 with the xDrive is a serious machine

It is, and I never used to be either, but their interior and infotainment is next level nowadays

But the M3 is 76k starting price Isn’t it.

The one in JA video was 93k I think.

what about paint colours BMW do? what does Audi offer outwith paying £2500-£5000
Just saying like if l could afford one l would have one.... but l can't lol l just think Audi have lost interest and just want to produce interiors with dull seat coverings surrounded by high gloss black plastic trim

I would happily take a dark interior over being tangoed!!!

Give us your thoughts! What's it like to drive, how does it feel, interior a nice place to be? Does it feel any quicker if you've had an RS3 before?

Congratulations buddy, enjoy the motor and revel in the fact that all “dem bitches” on here are extremely jealous. But seriously, more pics or we’ll start saying you walked into the showroom and took pics then drove home in your Corsa :whistle2: :friends:

Honestly mate I’m not going to lie it’s really good. You need to see it in person, I really like it. way smaller in person than pictures make it look and feels really good

paint is more light than dark

So I came from a golf gti and it’s completely different as you can imagine. Never drove the old RS3 but it is so fast, so loud, crackles a bit too, pops on gear change, interior is spot on. Wish it had the light bar across but being a carbon trim it doesn’t have it, other than that it’s really good. Just need to get used to it
