Curious to see if anyone has a PLF RS3 with stage 2 or more? What kind of power are you putting down if so. And also if anyone has PFL with E85

I'm running a stage 2 PFL running revo software. Revo reckon it's running 470bhp ish but I need to get in on a dyno to prove it. I'm down to awesome gti next month for some bits and bobs done so getting dyno run then

What hardware do you have?

Scorpion decat down pipe and mid pipe, induction kit with panel filter and intercooler with boost pipes was what was needed for stage 2

I’m running 470 with Forge intercooler, Forge hoses, Milltek decats and RS exhaust, upgraded ignition coils/spark plugs but with only a panel filter (bmc). And E85. Will be fitting Eventuri intake and hope to get close to 500 (or just below).

I wouldn’t bother with the eventuri intake, spend your money on upgrading brakes or saving towards a turbo. I’ve got an eventuri intake on my PFL and I’ve just gone stage 3 TTE500 people make the same number if not more with stock airbox and panel filter just make sure to upgrade your intake pipe. If you want a little more induction sound the 034 intake is a bit cheaper with open cone.

I made 470bhp 715Nm on 99ron with TTE500 stage 3, with octane booster it made 519bhp/725Nm. I think I should’ve been closer to 500bhp on 99ron and in honest truth I was thinking about swapping the eventuri to see if that’s what stopped it getting closer. I’ve never seen anyone running higher power actually using one.

Also don’t know of anyone running E85 due to the need to swap injectors to use it. Most people run meth injection on octane booster or 110 race fuel.

Edit - Also, stock turbo can’t reach 500bhp you’re pretty much maxed where you’re at, no amount of extra air or higher octane fuel and advanced timing will make a difference as the turbo is basically max capacity and dies off after 6k rpm. If you don’t already have an upgraded HPFP this would be next on the list to do as it gives you an extra 50-100Nm torque when mapped in.

Thanks, this is very useful. I’ll see if I can cancel the Eventuri but it’s probably too late. Steep learning process where I don’t think the tuner has my best interest 100% at heart. I don’t have an upgraded fuel pump but upgraded internals? New brakes already fitted. TTE500 is where I’d go next. Again, really appreciate this.

Also, regarding E85 I’m still running standard injectors, will cause issues?

Yes upgraded fuel pump internals is what I meant my apologies. I don’t see the eventuri adding any power unfortunately, you get a slight induction noise and a beautiful looking intake but very little gains maybe a small amount of lower torque.

Although you might get a little more power going TTE500 you need to decide how you drive the car. The power you gain from the TTE is only top end and infact you lose lower down power due to a slightly slower spool from the enlarged compressor wheel. I think full boost is something like 700rpm higher? About 3.5k rpm on my dyno graph. Both stage 2+ and stage 3 are fast but if you’re not driving the car in the higher Rev range much you’re best off staying stage 2 as you have a very fast spooling low end torque, where as all the gains from stage 3 are top end higher in the Rev range. Be very little difference 0-60. So weigh up the costs. :)

I’m not 100% sure, when I collected my car they mentioned running E85 or race fuel but mentioned something about injectors on E85 so unsure if this meant to change them or not. In the UK we don’t use E85 much apart from very highly modified cars so I have no experience with it sorry.

I know on the FL they run 2 injectors per cylinder and to run E85 you need to swap out the upper fuel rail injectors for ones to suit. PFL only runs 1 injectors per cylinder direct injection. I actually had mine changed for the revised injectors and carbon cleaned while having the stage 3 complete for piece of mind.
