After some advice please all, recently purchased a 2104 RS6 with ceramic brakes fitted.

The brakes are very noisy, even worse when its wet but the car sounds awful travelling through a city centre at slow speeds.

Ive checked the pads and there appears to be plenty left on them, and the discs look fine as you would expect. Ive attached a pic below of the front and back drivers side.

Any ideas how to resolve? TIA

Fit a stick on shim to the rear of the pads to counter movement, hopefully that'll help.

The reason ceramic brakes squeal is that the back of the brake pad vibrates against the caliper assembly. ... The squealing is normally the result of not using a brake lining shim, or not putting enough anti-squeal lubricant on the back of the brake pad where the pad touches the caliper.

Great, thanks. Was going to try and take them apart in the morning, clean and re-grease them and put back together but i have no experience with ceramics so not sure if i was missing something.

Thanks

MIne squeal as well. More so when they are warmed up. Not annoyingly loud but they are there. Only have 7k miles on the car but doesnt bother me too much at the moment.
Brake squeal is common with ceramics and i dont think you will eliminate it completely. If you do then great
