Hello there!

I have a 2016 (66 plate) FL S3 saloon with the assistance package from standard (ACC, lane assist, auto high-beam, traffic sign recognition)

When I come to a stop on traffic it will keep ACC active for 3 seconds, after that you have to either A. Hit the ACC stalk to start or B. Tap the accelerator.

I’ve been told with the lane assist camera version (H) I will be able to code TJA to my car. (Automatically stop and go up to 40mph as long as lanes are present)

Standard my lane assist camera is:
3Q0980654 G

Will this work with TJA or do I need to replace it?

Also are the following coding instructions correct? (Link below)

I appreciate any help as I’m a intimidate with retrofitting and just need help with the general knowledge. Thankyou :)

I have a facelift 2017 A3 E-Tron, also with ACC, lane assist, auto high beam, etc., but from factory without Traffic Jam Assist.
A local (Dutch) VCP/VCDS specialist coded TJA and it works great. I use it every day in traffic jam (put a bottle of water in my steering wheel and I never have to touch gas/brake pedals and steering wheel for the entire route :whistle2::friendly wink: )

Sounds like what I need!

Does this get rid of the 3 second time out in traffic? - Where after 3 seconds you have to click the accelerator or stalk?

I need to find the coding for this! Happy to pay a UK VCDS specialist if required.

Unfortunately the time-out is still there. if you come to a complete stop, but from my memory it is more than 3 seconds (have to check...). I guess this is a safety matter (the same as touching your steering wheel after several seconds [without the bottle trick :frog:])

Don't forget to set the lane keeping to EARLY, described by @jrumball in this topic:

I must already have TJA then?

It drives and steers is slow traffic. (Under 30mph)

I just want to get rid of the 3 second thing .
