What functions on demand do you have available for your car if you are not in UK as the service is not available yet over here?? . I understand that the service exist in Germany and Belgium

it is a new feature present maybe only in the models build from 2020, where you can purchase new features to your car. this system is only available for the etron cars in UK, but across the continent Germany and Belgium this function is available. You should have it in your myAudi app. Check this link for more details:https://www.audi.co.uk/audi-connect/functions-on-demand.html

In that case, I'm very grateful NOT to have this 'functions on demand' feature on my 2020 A6. If my car is fitted with Matrix headlights at the factory then why on God's earth should I then be forced to pay additional money to use this?! IMHO if a car has something fitted at the factory, then it should be free to use for life.

This sounds like an awful development and will or me if buying from Audi in future.

However, if I can buy a lower spec car and then get thousands of pounds worth of upgrades by visiting a back Street garage then it might work out.

Unfortunately I think this will be a cynical move and try to make owners pay extra or subscribe to things that would ordinarily be free after the initial purchase.

An example of this would be things like sat Nav, Android Auto/ car play who knows what the limits will be on this. I can only see this as a negative costly path to go down.

The new Golf has what they call the "Shop" in their equivalent of the MMI. You can activate features like High Beam Assist. You get 30 days free and then can chose to pay or have it turned off.
