Looking to swap my BNS 5.0 with RNS-E unit (8P0 035 193 G). I got the phone module with voice commands with the cradle in the arm rest which came from the factory.

Guy offering me RNS-E with SW: 0210 HW: H07 versions. I've looked around for a bit and could not manage to find an RNS-E with 0210 version. Almost every unit thats 193G has at least SW 0220. Would it be updateable if neccessary?

So what im asking basically, after swapping the units, is it pretty much straight forward job of just coding the RNS-E unit and possibly updating the SW and HW versions?

0210 is fine.

Any nav dvd of modern era will update to 0220 on insert anyway unless updates disabled.

Okay, thanks. Installation wise, im guessing its just plug n play, since antenna is already there along with quadlock? No need to repin anything for aux to work or smth?

Bose and aux in will need repinning, if you have those. If you do I'll check for you. Ideally you will want to code it afterwards to match the spec of your car

Sorry for the delay. Here are the pin swaps required for aux in:

Connector B (blue) -> 32 pin

3 -> 21 (ground)
7 -> 6 (right)
1 -> 22 (left)
