Hey guys hope you’re all well. I’m going to get my s3 repaired but it’s been off the road for ****** months. I took it off Cus I couldn’t afford repairs but the problem is in 1st and 2nd gear when you accelerate lightly or gradually, the revs shoot right up and the wheels start spinning and idk if it’s clutch or not! Doesn’t do it in higher gears
Idk if clutch is gone or not need advice please??

Are you sure the wheels are definitely spinning? If the problem was your clutch the wheels would not do that. Has the clutch ever been replaced before in car’s life and what mileage is it on? Best way to check the clutch is get the car about 30mph and put it into 5th and floor it. If the revs rise up quicker than the speed then you know the clutch is slipping. Have you scanned the car for faults?

sure the box has not dropped the selector , making 1 and 2 un selectable ?
This seems to contradict , how can the wheels spin under light load ?

Sounds more like the haldex has an issue and you are not getting 4wd
If it was the clutch its would likely to slip in higher gears
