My C6 A6 is 2009 LCI facelift model however I compared with my friends same facelift C6, my left side of the boot is completelly empty whereas his is not, strange so I am assuming mine might shared the pre-facelift chassis? I have uploaded a picture of the diagrams I found here, thanks for the resouces btw. In the second pic where it shows 22,23,24, my boot is completely empty there..........

I swapped the MMI control panel with my friends A6 and did not solve the problem, and the CD changer powers up and can eject discs so I am assuming my best bet should be with the J526 under the front seat? As the bluetooth played up before MMI dead.

My question is where is it located in UK model? Is it under passenger seat? Have bought an optical loop so hopefully can find the faulty unit myself.

Thanks in advance.

Scanned with 5053, showing

Address 56: Radio
Cannot be reached

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 5F: Information Electr.
Cannot be reached

Nothing more helpful, optical can bus all showing okay.

Thanks guys.

You don't have a telephone module, it's part of the 5F module which is the CD drive in the glovebox.

If you remove the 5F module then the hole system is dead. The 5F is a single unit that does the radio, telephone and video for the display etc. If the 5F is dead then the only way to fix it is to replace it.

It ejects and takes discs normally, does that means it’s not faulty? Thanks

If you have a fault then yes it's faulty, ejecting disc's is only a small part of the systems function.

Ah did not know it had so many functions built in...
If I buy a second hand unit on ebay will it swap my current one?
Thanks.

Yes, but the unit will need coding and component protection (Audi’s security protection) removing. It cannot be done by VCDS, you need a licensed version of ODIS.

Thanks for the info. Will have a look for the ODIS.
Searched online and looks like ABRITES can also do that?
Which is easier for diyer please?
Thanks!

Neither! Both will cost you 4 figures for the genuine versions and require licensing and access to online connections, for example ODIS requires access to the VW servers, for which you need a user name & password. Best find a company local to you that can perform CP removal.

Should have added the cheap hacked versions you will find on ebay, wish etc won't remove CP.
