Any 1 got any idea why my exhaust fumes are only coming out off 1 tail pipe ( passengers side ) i did hear some screeching and noise like i was dragging something along the ground , after inspection off the undernrath nothing visible , checked engine bay and oil levels ok , coolant ok .
So have any other members got any idea what to check next thanks in advance
 
I know some exhaust systems like the BCS Powervalve only use one tailpipe at a time, or left only when not on boost and the valve is shut.. it's not anything like that is it?

S3 had a valve in left exhaust, most people disconnected the unit & tied it to fully open 24/7.

Its a CDLA engine , it has the bcs powervalve 200cell fitted , my worry was the screeching noise then the dragging noise , will see if there is any difference tomorrow and report bk

If you've got the BCS I think you should only see it from the left pipe on idle cos the valve is shut. I'd check with Nige but that sounds normal I think.. I'll check mine and report back
 
Right just checked, it's the other way around. On startup and idle, the left exhaust tip barely blows any gasses and it's all coming out of the right hand side i.e. drivers side which is via the backbox. Left pipe is straight through on mine as I have the WRC model, 100 cell car and no silencers.
 
Just call bcs bud, see what they say.
 
Just a quick update lads , took car out for a little spirited run along motorway this morning and seems the screeching noise and the dragging noise have now disappeared so i am guessing it must have been something stuck under car and as for the exhaust it now seems to be fine as i can here the other valve open on boost . So i would like to thank all for there comments on my post .
