S4 B9 Start Stop

Hi All,

recently purchased an 2018 Audi S4 B9, the issue i have is the start stop is not working - the A is crossed out on the VC. I am not sure if the previous owner maybe coded this out Via VCDS/OBD11.

does anyone have any information on how to revert it back? I do have access to VCDS

Might just be the cold weather. My S4 hasnt auto stopped for a couple of weeks now as only doing short journeys during lockdown.

My S4 also not doing Start Stop as only short journeys at the minute.

Check the temperature in the back seat. It does cancel the stop/start if it is higher than the front. Just reduce the temperature if it doesn’t work before trying other alternatives

Or lower, also, for those only performing short journeys, may I recommend a smart charger as start stop batteries can get 'grumpy' if they're not exercised enough in the cold. I have one permanently connected to my car...
