Evening all!
Just got myself my first Audi in the form of this B8 s-line 170.
I have been a VW man for years, now I have moved up a level.
I cannot for the life of me get the Bluetooth to work to the stage where I am starting to think it doesn’t have it or it’s not working? I don’t know what MMI it’s got but I have taken a pic of the dash and the model numbers if there is anyone that’s able to help me please??

You don't have MMI, what you have is the basic Concert radio option, though all its controls are via the screen.

What are you intending to use the Bluetooth for, my S4 has Telephony option I think, ie I can connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth, if I'm being honest, I only discovered that after starting to use a Bluetooth diagnostic dongle, so 2 Bluetooth options appeared on my phone!

Edit:- your car has a "Tel" switch, so if using the Bluetooth for that, that is probably where you will find the option to connect, as this is "old school" Bluetooth, each time you come back to the car you will need to manually reconnect to the car!

If on the other hand, you are trying to use Bluetooth for inputting media, then maybe you can not do that if that car already is using Bluetooth for connecting to mobile phones, I'm sure I've read that it is a case of "either - or" and not "can do both".

Someone with a working/using knowledge of this will probably tell more!

I am just trying to get my phone to connect for phone calls at the moment, but my phone will not pick it up at all. I have tried multiple phones and still nothing? am thinking about getting a Bluetooth Aux with a Mic on might be the easiest and quickest option...
 
on my previous b6 it had bluetooth but for some reason it needed a multi function steering wheel to activate for phone use.
Even though my b8 dynamik comes with the fully loaded mmi it still needs a dongle thing plugged into the glovebox ipod socket for the ability to play Spotify :neutral:
 
Humm, I've forgotten if I had to switch the Bluetooth Tx/Rx function on in maybe the phone settings menu, either way, I found it on my iphone 4S and my new iphone, only used it once to check that it worked!

Edit:- so one possibility if it is already switched on, is that a previous owner has hijacked the Bluetooth function for inputting media content - just a guess, you would need to dig deeper maybe online.
 
Will explore the dongle option next I think, see how that does before any serious investment takes place.
Anyone got any recommendations please?

Thank you for the link. I was just reading that thread too! Just trying to work out which on will work on mine, it seems it’s more basic than I originally thought! Have got a Bluetooth FM connector in the car but the quality is pants and just want some better integration.

If you’re unsure which model is compatible with your car, contact UAD. I did that and they quickly steered me to the right model.
