Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a used Audi A6 Avant and I'm looking for a 2014 model (because of my budget and it also looks like from 2014 the engines are "ultra". I am looking for a Black Edition if possible.

Because of the wide range of options it would be handy to know what options were available and also how to tell if they are there from photos (due to COVID I can't just go and visit loads of different show rooms).

Does anybody know where I can find an electronic copy of a 2014 brochure?

Thanks,

Chris

I do not have a link to a full UK brochure for 2014 (2015 model year cars).

I reckon a good starting point for comparisons is the Audi Approved Used Website. The pictures are usually of good quality.

The Ultra's are 2015 model year cars, so under the engine category select Euro 6 emissions class. The Ultra 2.0 diesels start at 190PS.

My personal experience of buying a 6-year-old car during the May lockdown was not marvellous as there were insufficient mechanics available to do a thorough Approved Used check - they ticked check boxes that had not previously been problems (I am sure this is not unique to Audi!). For example the fuel cap fell off at the first re-fueling stop a mile after delivery and the was a big tear in the netting on the back of the passenger seat. However the local and supplying dealers corrected everything under Approved Used warranty.

You always need to ask yourself why a cheap car is so cheap. In my case the vehicle was not Euro6 compliant and had a very unpopular (i.e. not black) interior colour.

Major options that became standard between 2014 and 2016 model years (for the Black Edition) would be 4-zone climate control (digital displays on the rear transmission tunnel) and LED headlights. Some buyers have found the panoramic sunroof to be a mixed blessing as it can leak.

I have pdf versions of the Feb 2014 and March 2015 brochures. If you PM me your email address I will send them to you

Thank you all for your help and responses. Much appreciated!
