Hi
I'm not sure if this has been posted.

I'm wondering where I would put the wiring for some ambient lighting in my audi a3 2013 8v I don't want to put it to the cigarette lighter wiring as I want to enable it to be used via the mmi

the other option is connect with footwell lighting but if there's a separate connection for ambient lighting I would prefer this.

Thanks

You better off going oem mate. Just had my front and rear footwells done and can control via MMI. Did my 8p tapped into dome light for power worked fine. Depends how you want it

100% recommend using the correct terminal on the BCM for any lighting feed - drop me a message as this is something we can help with - sales@rocketwires.co.uk
Well I purchase my wires from you lol and asked this question but you said you wasn't sure, not sure if it was you personally but was on Instagram

yh I'm going to do it properly wanted to know the location for the ambient light terminals so I can code it after to work with my mmi,
my other option was to connect it with my footwell lights when I install them, the footwell lights came today from rocketwires

I tapped into the dome lights mate so they worked when you open doors. If that helps. Link both sides together so you have minimal wires going to dome light

I think there was some confusion to what was required but yes there is a pin you can feed from the BCM for the ambient lighting - I'll send you a message and we can get the wiring created for the ambient lighting so its separate meaning you should be able to control it via the MMI depending on your software level etc.
