Hi All,
Just so you know that A6 C8 is quite air tight. This is designed to keep the car isolated from external sounds and insulated from external temperature. One of the down sides of this air tightness is requirement to use more force when closing door especially the front doors. At some point I thought that my A6 driver door was not aligned anymore as it required more force to be used when closing especially after drive.
If you experienced similar issue with your front doors and you are suspecting door misalignment please try to close the door with window half full or completely down before you call your mechanic. If the door is misaligned the problem will persists if the door closes much easier this means air tightness / air trap door closure effect.
Enjoy your A6

I’ve never had a car where the kids consistently don’t close the doors right so they need a re-slam

Same story with the Mrs. Usually takes her 4 attempts to get it shut. Maybe this is why the electric door closing mechanism is (or was) an optional extra?

Never seen this issue on my A6 C8 Black Edition, the doors require no more/no less force to close than other cars (incl. non-VAG) I've owned over the years.

It's only available on the Vorsprung now, it was available on all models early doors (pun intended!).
