Has anyone ever used the bar tek n75 race valve. The description says plug and play with an increase 30hp and 40 nm torque. Either way at 100 euros its cheaper than getting an original from audi. Advice needed

Sounds like complete crap to me dude. An N75 doesn’t increase bhp or torque. An N75 valve basically tells the wastegate when to open and close controlling boost.

Save that £100 and put into getting the car remapped... Swapping the N75 for another one isnt going to do anything unless you're experiencing issues with boost control

Exactly why I was put off. Seemed a bit strange to get extra power from that. But I do need a new n75 so will buy one from main dealers instead. I'm still unsure on whether to remap eventually or not

All these valves tend to do is change the reaction time of the valve on spool so you essentially get a boost spike as the ECU is mapped based on a faster solenoid valve and the PID setup will just reign in the valve anyway once its realises the boost is more than its expecting... assuming it hasn't gone into limp mode first from an overboost event...

I fitted a new N75 to my car this summer and bought one from Crewe Audi parts. They’re about £40 iirc so not toooo bad.
