A quick update:
The Audi went in for an MOT. The service was due in another month and a half, so I decided to just get it done af the same time.
Had service, Cambelt, Front disks and pads, water pump, MOT, upper and lower front bushes of some kind, and the Anti-roll bar bushes/links. I won't pretend to know what all these bushes do! The bill was a little over £1,360, but at least its lots of vital maintenance done.
The car feels so much better, so the bushes definately needed doing...
But I enquired about gearbox oil, as the car has done 146K miles. I was told the box is "sealed for life" so there is no need. I have had cars with the sealed boxes before, but I've usually been recommended to have the oil changed anyway, at around 100K intervals. Does anyone know if the oil can be changed in a 2010 2.0tdi autobox?
