Adding a transponder with VAG tacho?

Hi,

The second key on my a3 is not recognised by the dash. Does anyone know which version of VAG Tacho will allow me to add a new transponder and how to tell which transponder would that be?

(2005 Sportback 1.6 115 FSI)
 
It’ll be an ID48 transponder if memory serves but I’ve never used VAG Tacho I used a fvdi abrites for mine it’s a China special but worked. With that you have to read your immobiliser data and login code from the vehicle then prepare the transponder and then adapt it to the car.
 
Yeap as above megamos 48 iirc.
