I guess it's a matter of waiting and being patient.

just took delivery yesterday, now no sd card slot and sim card slot but only two usb type C. I can sort the sd card with a connector but in 3 years time will need to buy subscription from Audi to use internet and all the functions. Also as the car was build in week 31, all the builds after week 30 had included the parking assist plus which it wasn't in my initial order, so I can take this as a nice free upgrade. And even I am a fan android I can tell you that android auto sucks, phone needs to be plugged in all the time but my wife's apple works like a charm :grumpy:
I notice from the specification for the A6 Sport on the Audi Website they mention a 10Gb flash drive and DVD Drive, neither of which were on my 2019 car. Just wondering if the missing SD Card Slot and SIM Card slot are actually in the DVD Drive module which is presumably in the glove box. Other thought on the missing SIM card slot is that Audi have finally changed the software so you can hotspot from you phone to the car rather than hotspot from the car to the phone

I checked with the dealer and I have a build week 4 (i.e. 2021 January) and delivery is expected sometime in February.

Still not clear if the same finance deal will be applicable or not. Will find out next week :-/

This post https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/best-way-to-listen-to-purchased-music.421060/ from psychopomp1 wouild suggest that on the 2020 cars the SD Card slot (and maybe the SIM card slot?) have been moved from the centre arm rest area to the glovebox

Has anyone heard any further updates on this? I have taken a 3 year lease on an A6 50 TFSI e Quattro Sport - order went through leasing company on 04/10 and currently says scheduled for build - ETA March. whilst i am resigning myself to the fact this will end up being a reality, i wondered if anyone else had any build week data who ordered at a similar time?

Mine is being built this week - after ordering it at the start of August.

That’s not terrible all things considered in my opinion- isn’t the standard time frame 12-16 weeks pre-Covid? 14 weeks to build week, 1 week to build, and 4 weeks for transport and PDI so by that count it is “only” a month late. Better outlook than the poster above you who is looking at a build date in mid-May next year.

Still a loooong wait though you have my full sympathies on that.

Speed of build will be very dependent on spec of the vehicle. If the car you want is one that is pretty standard or includes "normal" options then it is likely the dealer can use an exisitng vehicle that already has an allocated production slot, assuming the dealer has not already used up their allocation for the current period. If it has less common options then it is likely to take a lot longer as not only will it need to get a slot on the production line allocated but it will also require dovetailing that production date with the component suppliers' production schedules.

Mine is now built and is awaiting shipping to the UK - leasing company reckon I will have it on 18/12...

New A6 being delivered to me on the 16/12 - excited !!!!

Now to sort out insurance and GAP insurance - any suggestions for good deals out there apart from the usual money supermarket etc...?

I've done mine GAP with ALA Insurance, seems like they have great reviews, and paid £288 for 4 year. You can get for 3 years like around £238. That's a lot cheaper compared with the insurance offered by dealer. Also to get a discount with ALA search online for voucher code, I had 30% off with code "MSE25". Good luck :)

I agree with Diazro above ALA seem to have the best value around far better than the dealer’s sales commission generator option. Paid £340 for a 4 year back to invoice value policy.

Spoke to Adrian Flux to upgrade insurance from current car to the A6 and they said they couldn't insure it due to the value.

Had a standalone price from AF and it was over 1200 with 15+ NCB
