im after some info on the steps needed on retrofitting cruise to my car, I can buy a kit off of Ebay which includes the stalk and cowling.
ive been told it would need coding, could anyone tell me approx cost and how this is done, most importantly can it be done to my car.

Thanks

I had It done to mines if you put out a shout to someone with vcds in your area. Cost not expensive

If you need it all fitted, ping me a WhatsApp to discuss it.

Another question, does anyone know the correct part number I need as there seems to be a few different ones.

8P0953513F is the stalk part number for your 2010 car.
theres one on ebay for £30 delivered, from lithuania though, but itll be here within a week.

the lower cowl you can use a dremel to extend the hole for the cruise stalk. theres an outline to follow on the inside of the cowl.

alternatively, the part number for the lower cowl with the hole for cruise present is 8p0953512A (the A is important, the same part number without the A is what you already have).

You can do the cut your self as samisnake said.
If you are careful enough you will have better results than my sloppy cut! Although nobody has noticed.

Also you must check the steering module. And check if it is compatible with cruise control.
Do you have MFSW (buttons on the steering wheel)?
if so I beleive you already have the Highline module which works with cruise control as well .

1. As you have MFSW the steering module should be the correct for the cruise control retrofit.
2. Yes as said above the plastic has markings where should be cut. Mine did! Just take tour time with the dremel.
