Hi all,

My car was last serviced by Audi last October - having their full inspection service which included an oil change @ 16k miles / 2 years old.

The read out on the car currently states next oil service is due in 17,000 miles or 360 days.

Inspection service however states 17,000 miles or 60 days....

I of course regularly change the oil in additional to the "mandatory" service schedule, but is a further inspection due in 60 days (when the car is 3 years old)? Car is currently at 17800 miles.

Cheers.

I had did an oil change after the first 8k.

Second oil change was as per Audi schedule at 16k / 2 years

Just not sure why there is an inspection service due in 60 days but no oil change due until another year/17k.

I'll be changing the oil again regardless before it comes off the road in October.

cheers.

Interestingly I've just had a card through the door to say MOT & Brake fluid change is now due on the car and do I want to get it booked in...

So brake fluid change required @ 3 years old?

My car was serviced by Audi (inspection service) just before I bought it in March and I’ve only done 1500 miles since (blame lockdown for the low miles covered!). However, I’ve had a message pop up that it needs an inspection service.
I’m guessing that they never reset the service clock when they did the service.

Is there a way I can reset it without any VCDS or taking it to Audi? I recall there was something you could do on the Golf R that was very simple.

It seems common with Audi setting the oil service and inspection service at different times, I have always asked them to do both at the same time even when the inspection service still has a few thousand miles to go, they’ve always agreed to this and saved me going back a second time.

My RS3 had the flexible long life service plan on the vehicle from new (pre-reg vehicle) but being an RS model wanted it done more frequently so requested they changed it to yearly/9k fixed plan, although understand most will just do their own oil change or use an independent for this in between, seems wise on these cars.

Oil service can be reset in the MMI.

Is that also the case for the inspection service?

It’s booked into Audi on Tuesday for recall work (something to do with fuel tank safety in the event of a crash) and I’ve told them they’ll have to reset it all.
