Finally after about 6 months trying to get in for a remap I've finally got it done. Thanks to AMD tuning Essex. Took me forever as like to make sure car is good before mapping. Plus the usual case of got the money let's book the map Nd something goes ****** wrong. But it's done now. I've got the A6 3.0l TDI 245bhp model. I must say after doing my research first these are results I was expecting. Quite pleased car only lost 2bhp from standard 8 years ago and 120000 miles on clock graph and results below

I like it alot. I did not want black smoke and I haven't and it still drives great even when not pushing it. Don't get me wrong I found it a quick car before. It's my first diesel and automatic and must say I'm impressed. Such a large car i love it. I'll be changing it in a year or 2 I'm hoping for my next Audi so the remap was done just to keep me smiling during that time. Highly recommend this car and engine. Hoping to get to Santa Pod before end of month to get it down the strip to see what difference it's made over quarter mile.

Is that without the dpf?
Mine was 240 stock and mapped to 290 440lbft so similar to this one

I've been going POD around 15years now. Used to have a redtop nova as my first car and even to today was my most fun and fastest car. Only ever managed 14.0 though, A6 stock I got 14.5 at Pod which I was impressed. Auto box gives a slight delay to when using a clutch but of course soon makes up for it when comes to changing gear. That's why I did not want too much torue either as don't want to rip gearbox apart as it's my daily driver. I'm hoping to get under 14.0 now. I'll let you know I'm hoping to get down Saturday night for a rwyb special of course weather dependent. These days it's only 20min drive to Pod for me. I'll send a copy of time sheet however I only plan 1 or 2 runs. These autos are perfect launch everytime so times are always consistant so takes fun away abit unless lots of BMWs there I'm always up to race them

I used to love it I had a corolla tsport little n/a hatch back like a poor mans type r loved pod tho camped a fair few times, always miss the sounds and smells! Rotorstock was a good one, I’m form Scarborough I used to fly down to my brothers in per shore and then blast over to pod so much vpower consumed in those years.
Look forward you seeing how you get on try get some footage

So went last Saturday, 5 min before I was due on it ****** it down so unable to do run. Will have to wait until next year now. I did get the brakes and tyres done though. Went with EBC drilled disks and redstuff pads. However the pads came without the sensor wire. Out of been annoyed I went and bought some brembo pads not cheap though

I’ve got brembo pads on mine now I don’t know if they are just normal road ones though

Sorry guys, when I posted the reply last night it was playing up. I actually have up and did not realize it even posted my reply haha.

I have the redstuff pads still but waiting for EBC to respond to me regarding the brake sensor wire but done a few tests now in these disks and pads plus the new tyres and stops very nice now, not tried it in the dry yet

Still not convinced in the handling at high speed. Although I'm hesitant to spend too much on the car I am looking into what can be dine to help handing. It's the front end if like to feel more planted but not really wanting to spend the thousands in new suspension. I'm wondering maybe strut bar or something to keep it solid.

You guys got any ideas?

Took my A4 to Santa pod about 5-6 years ago. It's fun turning up in a diesel estate, people don't expect to be fast. Managed a 13.36 at 103 mph best time at Santa pod. After I had the hybrid turbo fitted got that down to a 13.1 and 109mph.

Nice, I always feel when into the 13s that's then a quick car and is much more fun. Hopefully I'll be in the club next year when it's open again maybe we could arrange a meet up there

If I go to Santa Pod next year will be in my Track TT. Took it at the end of last year to the last RWYB and managed a 12.1 at 122mph. Very poor traction due to the temperature and the fact track had been washed out all day on the Saturday . Hadn't really ever used the launch control on Ignitron so hadn't set that up correctly.Pretty poor starts on all 3 runs the car managed all day. 2.3s 60ft times in a 500bhp quattro car weighing less than 1300Kg. I can do 1.8s 60ft times in the 1800Kg A4. It should be running more like 11.5-11.6s for the quarter, maybe quicker if I get a DSG gearbox in it.

Nice I had a TT previously had it all ready for a stage 2 but had clutch issues and spat my dummy out abit after spending quite abit in it. Nothing to what yours sounds like though . If you do go down do give me a heads up I'll be over just to see that
