Hi all I bought a set of 18" TT wheels for a great price with good tyres. I have seen these on other A4 like mine (2003 1.9tdi).

I am thinking the tyre size maybe incorrect as they are 225/45/18.

Is there something else I need to do before I put them back on or will a tyre change correct my issue.

thank you

235.40.18 is correct size for 18" alloys on a B6 A4. It's what I had on my A4 B6 Avant, & had no rubbing issues.

I believe TT wheels have a different ET than A4 wheels , could also be an issue

The OEM 18-inch Audi TT S-Line wheels (as mine) are 9J ET52 (8J0601025C) with 245/40R 18 tyres like so:

I believe the A4 18-inch rim is an 8J ET47 (8K0601025Q) similar/same pattern:

But not the same dimensions - go check the part numbers:

It depends on where they are rubbing that is the main worry, I would remove them and make sure that you're not cutting into the tyre side wall anywhere thats not visible from the outside of the wheel!
