Car was in main dealer yesterday for warranty work, whilst there they wouldn’t test drive it because one of my rear tyres had a cut in it.... so had to commit to 2 new rear tyres (hankook evo’s)(no big deal as they price matched).
Went to pick it up less than 2 miles down the road on a dual carriageway I notice a vibration at 70mph ish. Ring dealer who said bring it back this morning.
They have called me this afternoon to say they have tried balancing the tyres again and then used some bit of kit which is telling them to move the tyres left and right on the wheel?! Has anyone ever heard of this??? However they can’t get the machine to validate the setup, so they are telling me the tyres are out of shape and ordering brand new ones for tomorrow. No issue with that but I’ve just never come across this before, is this one of those things or is something a miss?
