2010 compatible front bumper

hi all.
I little divine inspiration or expert knowlege needed if possible.

I have a 2009 facelift A6 Avant S Line.
The bumper had issues and I am aware they're like rocking horse s### to find.

Is it physically possible to fit an SE bumper to it?

I know its different but are all the fixings etc in the same place?

I can’t say for sure but I would think they used the same fixings for both styles. I’ve had troubles with my 2009 S-line bumper too. I thought about fitting an SE bumper.

The the plastic teeth-like grips on each side tore off whilst reversing the nose of the car off a high curb. It was a real pain because the bumper just kept popping off the sides but I basically glued the bits back together with a specialised plastic glue. Luckily I did the cam belt not long ago so it shouldn’t need to come off again for a while.

I have the same issue but it has also split away at the top where the awkward bolt goes.
I've spoken to a supplier of an aftermarket new bumper and he doesn't think it will fit?
Not sure if he's just looking at the fact that they're not the same or he actually knows the fixings are different?
