A4 Avant parcel shelf questions

Hi all, I'm new to the A4 forum having previously had an A3, I'm just in the process of of buyimg a 2012 Sline Avant, its the facelift model which I assume is the B8.5? Theres no retractable parcel shelf with it so need to source one. I would need a black one to match the interior trim and headlining etc but are all the B8's the same apart from the colour? Also I want the vertical pull up blind/dog guard - do these fix to the parcel shelf and if so does the parcel shelf need to be a special one? The other thing is I didnt look to see if the car has the lugs in the headling and side trims to accept the toggles on the dog guard when pulled up so would all A4 Avants have them as standard ?
Thanks in advance and if anyone has suitable ones for sale in excellent condition I may be interested.

Hi, all I can comment on is my 2015 S4 Avant, but it's probably the same as yours.
The retractable load cover (I wouldn't call it a parcel shelf as its not rigid) should sit, and lock, into a recess on either side panel next to the rear quarter windows. The dog guard again is not rigid, so my young labrador just used to squeeze around the side gaps. Your dog may (and probably is!) much better behaved than my lab and may therefore not try this, but don't count on it! I think all avants have the locating recess lugs in the roof for this.

Thanks for that, I would have called it the same but when I spoke to Audi parts they said 'Oh you mean the parcel shelf' - it would cost nearly £1000 for the pair so you're right ebay it is!

Meant to say that the 'dog guard' slots onto fixings on the rear of rear avant seats.

Does that mean the load cover can be removed but the dog guard can stay in place?
