PFL MIB2 Conversion Completed

Finally had my MIB2 installed on my PFL with my upgraded RED LED FL MMI controller, so the whole thing looks exactly factory, none of that White LED panel with Red LED dash half baked stuff.

Couple of questions;

On the MIB1 I could choose the 'special' steering wheel button to change the music track, on the MIB2 there seems to be no way to do this, its just the usual stuff like Drive Select etc, is there anyway to achieve this? That was my most used button.

On Car Play, is there anyway to have the cars mmi media being played on the overlay (when there is the sat nav and music seperated into three areas on the screen?)

Is there anyway to 'Search' music when using either Tidal or Qobuz through Carplay? It seems ridiculous that you still need to use your phone to search.

The MIB2 unit has SIM slot, but sadly needs APN settings to activate. Curious if anyone has ever managed to get Google Earth to work on a Hacked MIB2 unit?

Google earth would need to rely on Audi connect , I understand there is a few person who is hosting personal Audi connect server , but you will need to send the head unit over before hand

Alix said something about this, apparently they charge pretty hefty for it? Im not that fussed, it was just something that would have been nice. I want the skip track button to work more than Google earth! :)

Nudge the Volume knob on the centre console left and right for skip. Never really noticed the lack of “skip” via the * button as I never use it myself. I guess this was removed as the facelift steering wheel as dedicated back and forward buttons.

Yeah I got the joystick skip, I just liked my * button :) But you're probably right, although its only a software option...but if it definitely dosent exist in the mmi menus on FL cars, then I doubt I'll be getting it back!
 
I liked the skip track * button on PFL. Although FL doesn’t have that option you can still do it on the steering wheel - just click on button on right hand end of volume wheel.

Did you just replaced the White LEDs with red LEDs? What the trick?
