Hello!
I have Audi A4 B7 and it came with a default phone cradle. It was just using space and I didn't see point in having it, as I have no idea what phone it is there for. However if I remove it, there are two holes on the deck and wires (one looks like phone cable and other has many pins in it) hanging out, which doesn't add prettiness to the interior.

So my question is: is it possible to find an adapter that would fit these holes and wires and deck a Samsung S10 phone or something similar?
There is bluetooth in my vehicle (only for calls), however with this one I think there would be three main advantages:
1. Better audio quality during calls
2. Possibility to charge the phone while it's decked? I believe some of these wires contain power?
3. It's a phone holder so it would be comfortable to use it while having GPS on or something similar.

I'm also wondering weather it's possible to add AUX cables to this vehicle, because my bluetooth system only supports calls and I would like to play music from my phone (I believe this phone cradle won't help me achieve this? Even though I wish it would..)

P.S.
If needed I can provide pictures tomorow

There are no plates to cover the hole tbh.

Not sure they continue to release adapter plates for new phones tbh, though it has power, you'd need an adapter to take the feed of it.

I've changed whole dashes out for clients due to the hole.

Factory bt is only phone.

If it's a double din silver knob head unit, it can add auxin, can make it wordless auxin too, if interested I can supply & fit this subject to location.

Someone did this with mine, now have two holes where the cradle was. I really don't see the point of having a cradle when you have Bluetooth and sat nave built in ...poinless

Back in 2005-2008 cradles were still a thing, according to vag anyway, aswell as by.

Thanks for answers!

I have no idea what is "double din silver knob head unit" so can't tell you weather it is it or not.. It's my first audi car so I have no experience in anything and all terms sound pretty new to me :)
All I know is that I have Audi Navigation system (I thought it's RNS-E , but it's not Navigation Plus and I'm not sure if there is a different name for it without a "plus" or is it still RNS-E).

So as for the cradle - either the massive not usable cradle or these holes are there to stay and there aren't any adaptors to fit in these holes with a newer phones, right?
If so, I'm only left with two questions:
1. Is there a way to add aux connection to my radio, so I could play music from somewhere else, not only from CD's and radio?
2. Can these wires that were left after removing cradle be used in any way? I'm not really sure what are they there for, but if they are completely useless and should just be covered because you can't do anything at all with them, can't you at least find two wires from that bigger pin that contain voltage (if there are such) and solder them into a phone charger (micro-usb or usb type-c or just a USB jack so u can plug any charger u want) ?

P.S. I will attach a photo of this radio as I'm not sure weather I should call it RNS-E or some other RNS-? .

That's a basic navigation system, no silver knobs.

I wouldn't bother chopping into the wiring as that goes direct to the phone module, I'd just either consider swapping dash or leave plate as it is.

I've added wireless auxin to numerous clients, can also add hidden charging sockets if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think we live in a same country, so going to you just for you to add auxin would be not money efficient I think.
I'm still wondering, weather there is nothing to do with these wires.. If there were schematics of the original phone cradle then it wouldn't be too difficult to make a custom adapter of your own using an old phone case..
And considering the AUX problem, you mentioned wireless auxin? Wouldn't it be easier to just add support for bluetooth music streaming? Or is there a big difference? Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to add aux cable wired to the back of this navigation system with adapters or something along those lines and just take that wire to either glove compartment or to the dash, for example to that cards holder thing above radio?
