Q2 Q2 Folding Mirrors

Hey Guys & Gals,

I hope you’re all well! I’m looking for the part numbers for the Q2 RHD Folding mirrors...not having them anymore is really getting tedious especially in London. Looking to retrofit them the same way I done with my A3 8V but from memory trying to source the correct ones were a pain..only difference now is that I have the blind spot monitor...still find it stupid that folding mirrors aren’t standard if you have this feature

Thanks for this, very helpful. I have found this on Alixpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000382426421.html I wonder if there is a difference between the LHD and RHD. I don't think I would need the door module, I didn't need it in my A3 and the Q2 has the Blind Spot Assist. If the one linked will work in a RHD I'll buy it, the seller doesn't seem to be sure but has told me the part number is 83G 857 409 /410.

i cant say it will or wont work, but i can tell you the trim for the switches looks like its a left hand drive version , the right hand drive version will be 81C959522b (http://www.catcar.info/audivw/?lang...kdGFmZWw9PTg2NzAwfHxHcmFmaWs9PTA4NjcwMDgwMw==)

the adjustment switch is 4M0959565T- found here

this indicates to me that you LHD and RHD are different, see the description (says LOR only / there are LOL versions)

id assume your door control modules are ok too given blind spot, the code for these will have a 5 as the 7th digit if you can check yours - if you have highline then you are good

The 7th digit from the left must be a 5, only then it is a highline version (eg: 5Q0959393 Lowline, 5Q0959593 Highline)

lastly - kufatec do a complete set - they make it clear that LOR and LOL are different

this will have the switch, trim, mirrors, and a coding dongle - you can add the door modules too - however ebay has tons of these as they are on the a3 and vw golfs plus a few more models

Thanks for this brilliant write-up!! I forgot to mention in my last post that I knew the door trim and and switch would be for a LHD car. If i can still use the actual mirrors and source the trim and switch elsewhere for a RHD it will be significantly cheaper than anyone else selling it. I'm trying to find out if the actual mirrors are different between LHD & RHD. With regards to the door modules, I assume I can scan my car with VCDS to find out...its been a while and I can't remember. Thanks again for your help so far!!

i have never had or used VCDS so cant tell you - a VCDS expert on here will no doubt tell you - if not just take a door trim off to find out?
would alix know if LHD or RHD is different?
