I'm sure some A6 diesel owners will already know this but in case you don't: when the time comes to re-fill your AdBlue tank, don't waste your money paying your Audi dealer for it (around £2 a litre!) or buying it off the internet. Cheapest & most convenient method is simply head to any fuel station which has adblue pumps. Costs less than £1 per litre and the nozzle (at least at BP stations) easily fits the AdBlue tank on the A6 C8. Filled up at my local BP station last night for less than £15 and took about 30 secs. Job done :)

If you’ve got a Costco card they do 5l cans for £5. I get a few in when they are offer.

Out of interest what’s your Adblue consumption, mine is about 650 miles per l over 20k miles.

But 5L for £5 is still a quid a litre. I paid 89p/L from my local BP garage so I imagine it would be a similar price nationwide even at other fuel stations. Not to mention the sheer convenience of filling up from a nozzle.

I had to fill up with 16 litres (capacity is 24L) and I had done about 8000 miles. So usage is about 500 miles per litre which isn't too far off yours. I mainly do town driving.

I just paid 9euro at a pump in France for 16 litre

That's still 88p/L. Whereas I paid 89p/L from a fuel station and had the convenience as well. If places like eurocarparts were selling it for something like 50p/L then I could understand the logic of going the DIY route. But to save a penny or two per litre? Though based on sarah1331's feedback, it seems to be vastly cheaper in France so we're getting ripped off in UK no matter who we buy the adblue from...quelle surprise?!

My local BP station - Inverness Longman - sell it, where i filled up at. Pretty sure there will be other BP stations selling it as well.
