If there was enough business I would become a site sponsor and it would be a permanent thing.

There could be potential to big discounts on group buys etc.

I also have other things that members could be interested in, in the future.

This is something I’m willing to trial on here as you guys can upload your documents and your plates could be made.
 
FYI for those who might be interested.
Got my plates from Mike the other day and they are really good quality. I ordered short 4D gel top plates with all legal BSAU markings, size and what-not.
Pictures to follow

As said above, Mike allowed for electronic submit of documents and PayPal payment.

Overall, service received is top notch and Mike is really top bloke to deal with

BTW,
While Mike allowed me to email him my docs, I still needed to post them to him.
Email just get the things going but for the formality and by law, any plate seller is required to see the actual proof of ownership for the plate.

Thank you for the support, hopefully things may pick up a little on here but I feel it’s not being seen a much as I would have thought.
 
It's a very saturated market Mike I think that's why, there's loads on Instagram and similar doing the same thing. Good luck with it but think it'll take some serious differentiation to get any significant traction.

Nice one. I have a set already but they're not legal.

Just after a set of legal metal pressed, ideally with a black line border but not essential. Would you be able to get photos first though?

Not to undermine Mike Parkin, but i know that the tooling required to produce metal pressed plates is pretty pricey, so unless there's great demand, I doubt Mike would be willing to make that kind of outlay.

On that note though, I ordered some pressed metal plates with all relevant BSAU markings and manufacturer details from an online company called 'Chase Lane Plates'
Great quality and they let me send photographs of my documents electronically. VERY reasonably priced too.

@MikeParkin, I'm also amazed at the flack you've received on this forum. Good luck to you mate, I wish you and your business all the best mate.

It can be done on request, but there not as common as they used to be.

The seller will be responsible for putting the original plate back onto the car, that’s the whole point of the retention fee you pay when putting a private plate on your car.
