Hi all,

As the thread states, I’m after some aftermarket wheels for my RS3 now (amongst many other things already happening or in the pipeline!)

I’m looking at the Ispiri FFR6’s. Would really appreciate it if any of you could post pictures of your after market wheels please, to give me more food for thought!

Cheers,
Sam.

motec ultralights. Lighter and cheaper than the inspiri and very similar design.

Revo RV019 I do like the ispiri FFR1 that was my second choice but was not sure if they fit without spacers..

Checkout these 034 18" lovelies tho ... I LOVE the 18" + fat rubber look

I have the 11mm all round forge spacers at the moment, so what size would I require on the motec ones please anyone?

Has anyone used Bola wheels in past? I'm looking at their 'FLD' in a 19 x 9.5 to use for track. At 9.3kg it is not much heavier than my Neuspeed in 9" and they are £1k shipped, seems pretty good for a flow-formed wheel.

A friend has these on his car. Pretty much a Bola wheel under the name of Judd.

Judd are high pressure flow formed which makes them lighter.

hey mate i went for 19’s, 8.5j, et43. No spacers required and the stance with that set up is spot on.
Cheers chap. I could try the spacers but just see how they sit firstly. Do I go for staggered set up or square? I’m slightly confused as to what to do, sorry haha.

I’m in two, three, even four minds mate haha, I’ve also seen some bola wheels I like too. I really don’t know what to go for but LK performance seems the best place to get them from.

Can I go with a square set up all round then or do I need to keep the offset of wider fronts and smaller rears?

Could anyone please tell me how much my stock rotors are worth please? I’m looking to sell before I get my aftermarket wheels and I have someone interested in them.

Best to look on eBay that’ll give you a yardstick of what they sell for.

Yeah I’ve had a quick scope earlier on. Reckon I can get at least £800 without tyres on as they’re in mint condition.

Has anyone tried Bola wheels? I’m having second thoughts and seeing some similar wheels I like just now. I’ve got my eyes on the Bola B16’s.

I know I think I slightly prefer the look of the Ispiri’s. But I’ve been told that the motec ones are really light and transform the car whereas the Ispiri’s are more show wheels. The motec are 8.8kg per corner and I’m not sure on the Ispiri’s. I’m torn haha!

FFR6 are heavier but not by much it is still massive weight saving over standard wheels, the difference in steering feel and response when I went to the revos was very noticeable and they are 10kg a corner the ispiri's are around the same. to be fair both the ispiri and motec are very popular with rs3/s3 owners so you can easily find images etc.

Yeah the motec are definitely 8.8kg per corner. The FFR6’s are 10.1, so there is quite a difference! It’s just down to looks now for me really!? I’ve looked at loads of images now of the two and I can’t decide haha. What weight are the stock wheels?

Around 13.5 if I remember correctly for the multi spoke not sure on the rotor style weight

Really that much! Well I have the rotors, I also have someone interested in them for £750-£800. Do you think this is a fair price without tyres? Honest opinion too, what would you honestly go for, the motec in Matt black or the Ispiri FFR6’s in corsa black?

Also, what offset with the wheels do I opt for with being on stock mag ride and having MPS4S’ 235/35 19?

Yea sounds a reasonable price to me if in decent nick, seen them listed around £1100 with tyres.

only you can decide which wheels what colour is your rs?

8.5j with an offset of 40 or 45 sit nice and no issues with rubbing ect can’t say for any other offsets

Cheers for the replies mate, it’s very much appreciated! Very helpful.

I’ve a Catalunya Red, mate.

Okay cool, which one exactly then? As I said I don’t have the car lowered but it does have mag ride. I also have 11mm forge spacers all round at the moment but depending on the offset I go for, I won’t need them will I?

No problem!

so black wheels for sure, I had a red golf r 7.5 and black just contrasts so well.

So mine are et45 I’m on standard mag ride also and I think they sit really well they are not fully flush to the arch but not far off if you wanted to be a bit further out then I would go et40 or even maybe down to et35 as if I have it right I think standard offset is like et49 so if you were to go et40 they would be further out by 9mm so a little less than with your spacers or et35 would be 14mm further out so a little more than currently but I’m not sure what effect this could have on possibly scrubbing when on lock

Nice one chap!

Yeah I get you, there’s just something about a red and black combination isn’t there. Goes really well.

Okay cool, well at the moment I’m obviously on stock rotors, mag ride with 11mm spacers all round. It actually sits absolutely perfectly for me so I would like the new wheels to have the same if not better effect. A guy on here advised me to go 8.5J ET 43 on the motec’s but obviously I’m going for the ispiris now. Do you think I could go with the same set up?

Just to throw another option into the mix, how bout OZ leggera's ? Similar style to the Ispiri and Motecs mentioned. Not sure on weight mind you. View attachment 209244
(not my car)
I know I do like those aswell chap but they’re far too expensive for me at the moment and I think I prefer the motec and the lightness of them. How much are you looking to pay for wheels and how come you’re after some mate?
