When I search for WiFi on my phone I can see my car WiFi hotspot. Does that mean I can use the internet from my car? I have the advance pack and I've heard that Inc 3 years of free WiFi. If yes where can I find the password? Appreciate everyone's help.

Select Audi connect, when audi connect is loaded then right click on controller pad, then go to connection manager and select with the rotary controller, scroll to the data connection and right click on the control pad, scroll to network key and select, then scroll to wifi key and select. The password will be visible, you can also change it.

As far as I'm aware, you also need to subscribe to either a data package through the car or get a sim card for data usage.

Is your car a new one or less than 3yrs old, if so the 3yr data package is free.
Even if you have bought a Used Audi the data contract stays with the vehicle not the original owner.

Any issues speak to Audi dealer.

Mine was new last year, the 3 year data package doesn't include using the car as a hot spot though.

Can you find your hotspot when you search for WiFi on your phone? What does it say when you connect?

just checked and no I cant connect :(
how much is this SIM thingy that you guys are talking about? However I can connect to audi connect and browse the news and weather etc etc so dosent that mean I have data already???

From what Tom said that sounds about right then. I have the PFL car so I have to buy a sim and put it into the card so have no idea how the integrated simcard works.

But I guess Audi are just limiting you to using Audi Connect (their own services..) but not allowing you to use the car as a hot-spot. Someone would have to pay for the possibly ridiculous amounts of data people would use. And that doesn't sound like something Audi would do :)

Edit: found this https://www.audi.co.uk/about-audi/latest-news/audi-connect-sim-online-without-borders.html
So yeah, looks like from the Audi Connect account you can purchase data somehow for the sim if you want to hot-spot.

I'm intrigued to know how much it costs if you find out.

The excisting data connection in the car is restricted to the Audi connect services. As others have said.

To use the cars hotspot you either need to subscribe to the Audi data service or pick up a cheap data only SIM card from one of the mobile phone networks, companies like 3, O2, EE etc all do them you just need to shop around for the cheapest.

Hey- I just went through this so thought I'd respond in case others search same issue. I have 2017 model, newer models might be different but most confusing thing is there are 2 pins. One for the Audi Connect (found on your My Audi page or app) and a WiFi pin. To connect the WiFi- Go to Phone-setting-wifi in the car, there you can turn on the WiFi (If you have a paid account and SIM) and see the password, you can also change the password if you like, the auto generated one was pretty long and not something I'd remember. I bought my car used so no one walked me through all of this, so it can be confusing and took me some time to figure out. Also- if you buy a used car you need to get a new SIM card. I called Audi and they sent me one, and then I went on the My Audi site and paid for a year subscription, which was $200.

lol don't need a CCNA or CCNP to sort this, just the vehicles manual and key tag :)

Lol, you give your services and smb kick you off. Man, I know what this guy is talking about. reagarding Cisco courses I will be glad to help and answer all your questions. BTW, it is a fine and good course if you want to find a better job or make a change in your life. A friend of mine recommended it when he saw how ****** is my life. My parents told me "don't want to see you more" go away and do whatever you want. It was a crucial moment when I realized I'm by my own, no job, no money, I have to do smth. I was afraid I won't pass the exam, but on CCNP Dumps I have found the solution. Real questions, just take and learn.
