Im trying to find a Wing mirror for A3 Sportsback but dont know which one

Im on eBay looking for a replacement wing mirror, but I cant seem to find out if it is compatible with our car. All the checks list Audi A3 8P1 and 8PA however according to the car's actual chassis number it is 8P8.

Is there an 8P8?

8pa (sportback 5dr) 8p1 (3dr) and 8p7 (convertible) are internal audi designations, nothing to do with the chassis number.

Eg. If you have a 5dr, you'll want a mirror for the 8pa.

Its a 2011 Sportsback. So it looks 8PA but Im really struggling to find a UK heated passenger (left side) mirror

You after the whole mirror or just the glass?

If its the whole mirror base, then it'll matter. If just glass or the painted cover then 8pa or 8p1 will fit the same

What you said makes sence. I was getting very frustrated as the image of the glass looked correct but when searching compatibility it said it wasn't compatible.

The glass has come off once before, I glued it on but didn't hold and the mirror fell off weeks later. If I can get the remains of the old glue off I just need the glass. Anyone have suggestions how to get rid of old superglue?

Another question. I have found glass for 2010-2013 Audi A3 8PA but the compatibility it says it fits smaller engined cars but apparently doesn't fit the 2.0 tdi. Is that correct?
