Nice one Grant......Love the way @jassyo06 get's his accent across on this forum..lol

That’s a relief, I honestly thought it was just me who read his stuff with a thick Scottish accent. I’ve got something that’s a mix of the Proclaimers, Blackadders mad cousin McAdder and Rab C Nesbit...

As for the car? If you like it, then balls to everyone else’s opinion. But naturally, you can have mine for free. :friends:

There was a time when I thought a hyper power 4x4 seemed like fun, but that was way back when Overfinch were a proper tuning and engineering company and were shoehorning TVR Griffith 500 engines into classic shape range rovers.

Times have moved on, SUV’s have become fashionable *shudder* but flawed versions of cars that were more capable before some bell-end stuck an extra 6 inches of ‘commanding driving position‘ into them. But, hopefully your new car, equipped as it is with what is essentially S3 running gear in a very stealthy outfit brings something of that old school hot-rod insanity to the party. That could be a lot of fun, and may surprise a few people! :thumbs up:

As soon as I have pics they will appear . I would've been happy to keep the S3 but a deal came through at the right time. Bit of an impulse purchase but hey ho you are only on the planet once(unless your an astronaut they come and go when they please lol). Yeah I reckon I will hover on the forum for a while..It's the most active of the car forums I know of:thumbs up:
Cheers Sandra x

Och aye the noo! Me too.......Was that not pc??:haha:
Could never picture myself in something as huge as an Overfinch Rover. It would never fit on my drive for starters. The Ateca suits me fine...I hope?
Looking forward to the traffic light GrandPrix's :racer:

You’ve got yourself a smart motor there @pburv - my last motor was a SEAT Cupra (I know yours is a CUPRA, and they are different ‘brands’ now). I had mine for 10 years it was that solid - the build quality was great. It was also Reflex Silver - which I never tired of. Great colour and suits your Ateca very well (also very easy to keep looking clean!).

Anyone who gets ‘snobby’ about the SEAT or CUPRA brand needs to experience one. They are very well built motors in my opinion.

The CUPRA brand are doing some interesting things in 2021. The Formentador for one, the electric el-Born another. The new Leon CUPRA branded estate is also a tidy looking car IMO. All subjective of course. Hats off to ‘em for being brave with design. And then there’s the Tavascan concept - which I recon will make production in a slightly tamed down format.

Reckon you’re riding the zeitgeist of a pretty cool emerging car brand with your purchase pal, and looking forward to seeing some pix when you take delivery...

Hi jimbob. Thanks for the great comments mate :friends:
I agree with you. I have had four Leon's over the years and the build quality has never been an issue. This will be my first Cupra spec'd car so hoping for some decent performance at least seeing as it has mostly an S3 drive train and engine underneath I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
Cupra brand has some great looking designs in the pipe line I hope they get into production. :thumbs up:

Hi guys.
Been feeling the itch to change cars for a few months now..I have been looking at Dicovery sports but can't bring myself to buy one due to the drop in bhp on my current car.So been looking for something that ticks a few boxes and have bought a Seat Cupra Ateca in Ice Silver. I have a couple of screenshots of it on my phone but can't upload as file too large. If anyone can show me how then I will gladly upload pics.
ps It hasn't actually arrived yet. Should be middle of next week:icon thumright:

Here is an Autotrader link to what it looks like (not my car but similar spec)

Cool car pal ... are they 300 bhp ?
Definitely in the fun zone for driving enjoyment & power so can't fault ya :icon thumright:
I'm sure you will catch a few cars out on the road who pull up next to you at the lights :)
Look forward to some pics

Ohhh it's great mate, you'll find most of the seasons on Netflix, I think the last 2 seasons were on Sky catch up.

Love these two parts:

That’s a lot of car for the money. How are you finding it compared to the S3?
So far so good it's more comfortable than my S3 and just as quick. A lot more techie toys to play with.:racer:

That looks really smart mate, I like the silver colour and the way that the alloys/mirrors/roof rails/window surround and side sills bring it all together with the black :thumbs up: Like you say just as quick as the S3, but you can do a lot more with it as a car...as you are down the road from me! You don't fancy doing a tip run for me do you? :p

Ha ha. If only you saw the car this evening..Just been up and eventually down a slate quarry track. Think I will give it a few months and then maybe consider a wash..:whistle2:

@pburv New car looks ace! Congrats.

I had a go in one a while ago. One of the tech things that I loved was the “buttons” appearing/disappearing in the corners as your hand gets close to the main screen. Such a clever touch. Witchcraft.lol.

Don’t see many of these about. Lovely left field choice car, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy every minute of it.:icon thumright:

Cheers mate. Still trying to get my head around the tech. From standard it comes well equipped. The DCC is really noticeable level cornering in an SUV is quite something. Haven,t launched it yet.....but give me time lol.
I haven,t seen any at all only the one in the showroom(way out of my price range). So yeah a bit of a rare one.

Had £4.99 rebate from current insurance(Axa) that runs out 22nd Sept. Checked what I paid to cover the S3 for 12 months and it was£250.85.
So I reckon the Cupra is going to be around the same this year??
I couldn't believe that the Cupra is only £150 road tax!! The S3 is around £280..I have no idea why? but not complaining lol

That's good then, I'm with AXA, if you have a dashcam you get an extra 10% off you know!
