So I have a whine in my Aftermarket radio. 2013 A3 with RSN-E Bose system. This original system sounded fine, but I missed CarPlay and the Navigation was limited. Purchased a Kenwood DMX 906S head unit and installed it. Wired it up to the Bose amp. On this system the amp powers all the speakers and sub. Sounds fine, but has alternator whine, whine when I hit the brakes and turn signals. I installed power filters on the new radio, the amp and the RCA's and didn't help. Installed an older JVC radio I had and it has the same whine. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas? Thanks

Try ground loop isolators.

I have tried ground loop isolators. That's what I called "power filters". Didn't seem to help. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm old school we used to get the alternator whine. I know someones mentioned isolator. Have you tried a resistor. When I put my head unit in and reverse cam had serious interference put resistor inline now fine

Had exactly the same problem when fitting Audi Sound System, It helped to feed new RR/RL cables for me though

Just make sure if you get one they get warm so mount on heat resistant plate. For my fogs it's cool my reverse camera thata ok cause there never on for too long

50W isn’t a resistance it’s a wattage. How are you going to know how many ohms to order :footy:

I'm also getting alternator whine with my Sony XAV-AX1000, tried ground loop isolators which help somewhat but the noise still persists.
