I have airbag light on the dash permanently and code 01218 which should be a passenger side problem. I was preparing to do this connector removal procedure :

However, when I lifted the seat the connector isn't there. I have a black connector which must be unrelated to airbags and some yellow wrap on the other wiring. I assume the job has already been done?
Is it likely to be the yellow plug going into the floor causing a problem? Is it worth removing, cleaning contacts and refitting? Has anyone done similar things to get rid of the airbag light? Thanks.

Black connector is for the lumber support adjustment, there's a large plastic cover on the carpet, lift that up from the front your airbag connector is under that.

I cut the connector out of mine, soldered the wires together, job done

In case it helps anyone, I solved this by chance. The passenger seat base was raised up to the highest setting by the previous owner and when a passenger of mine lowered it right down for the first time to be more comfortable the airbag dash light has gone out and has never came back on! It could still be an issue with the floor plug under the seat but with the seat lowered there is clearly less strain on the wire or something? My thought was the tab on the connector was not holding the plug in well enough (and the seat base raised to its highest setting almost pulled it out?) Anyway, my warning light is off!
