Ok, so I'm having a few issues with my 2020 A4 black edition. Going to start a few threads to keep each one separate if anyone else gets the same issues.

I have set up the MMI using myAudi profile. It finally let me log in in the car after a few attempts, but every time I switch the car off and get back in, it seems to forget my details saying "you've not logged in for a while, please re enter your details".

I can log in fine on the myAudi site and app.

Any ideas?

Software problem. Wait for software update

I can only smile at this. I've just rejected a Range Rover Velar due to software issues and waited 3 months for the same with Audi

See the thread "Massive IT Failure Affects All Audi 2020 A4 vehicles" (https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/massive-it-failure-affects-all-audi-2020-a4-vehicles.411321/ ). I think this may be related to the fact that

"Following an update from our colleagues from the technical department be kindly informed that for Audi A4 vehicles of model year 2020, all Audi connect services which require a myAudi login, are temporarily disabled.

When the update resolving the issue is released you will be informed accordingly, and you will be able to use the service without an issue.
"

I can also log into the car, but unfortunately the services do not work.

I'm also having the same issue same vehicle (A4 2020 BE )
You managed to get anywhere with it.. quite frustrating

I am also having this issue with my S4. Very annoying as logging back in isn't the quickest. I tried the pin number option and that worked for a bit but then again the same thing then kept happening.

Same issues with new (March 2020) RS4. Dealer told me not to set up the MyAudi link when I picked up the car but I received an email from Audi here in the UK inviting me to set it up so, having checked back with the dealer, I did. Still have the same problem though. It certainly looks like software, I guess we all just wait for Audi to sort it.

I had a mail from Audi Connect stating a software update was now available..
It's booked with my Dealer for June 1st . The booking line didn't have notice of any recalls.

"
We hope this e-mail finds you well.

The software update that is needed for Audi A4 2020 models is indeed available for you. Please contact your local Audi partner and they will be more than happy to assist you. In case they need a clarification on how to conduct the update, feel free to have them contact us for further instructions.

Hi. Did your June 1st visit happen? Do you know yet whether it solved the problem? I've been speaking to my Audi dealer and they'd like to "see the car" to check that it's not a set-up issue. I'm taking it in July 1st, I'm not expecting a solution but I'm hoping that they will be able to confirm that everything is set up as it should be so that they can escalate the issue. I've also been trying to imagine the cause of the problem myself... I'm wondering whether it's a combination of software and poor internet connectivity? Just a thought...

No. It didn’t happen as the dealer said the tpi number Audi connect gave me just referenced the issue, but with no fix.
For anyone that’s interested the tpi / tpd bulletin number stated yesterday is : 20 59 21 5
If there’s a friendly dealer or someone with access to the Audi system that can see what this references it would be helpful, and may save me the time of booking in again.

I am having exactly the same issues. My car had to have the MMI computer replaced and in the process, all firmware was updated. I now get the message from the OP every few days!

My Audi dealer didn’t believe me there was updated firmware (for the satnav destination sending issue I had before) and only found out when the hardware went faulty.

Hi All - a brief update...

Thanks (thorpemark1) for the TPI ref. I passed that on to my Audi dealer contact and they've been in touch with Audi UK who have told them that they are working on "a fix and a solution". I'm afraid I haven't been given any further details on the cause or the possible nature of the solution though. As a result, my 1st July visit has been postponed and the dealer will contact me to re-arrange when they believe they have a fix. Coincidentally (I think), my car has kept me logged in for over 5 weeks now which is the longest time it's ever gone without displaying the "...selected user has not been logged in for a while" message. Here's hoping! :sunglasses:

Fingers crossed ! Its worth checking you are logged in when you dont have your mobile phone in the vehicle . Might be wrong but I think the mobile app can be set to log you in when it connects to wifi/bluetooth, so may mask the issue.

Also if you take a look at the other post you will see at least 2 of us now have had our software updated (3281 ) which seems to have resolved the issues .

So, I've been trying various phone/no phone options over the last 10 days including, no phone in car, phone in car but switched off, phone in car and switched on and phone attached via USB. Whatever I do, the MMI just works - almost 7 weeks and counting! My car is definitely still running software version 3248 and the only issue I've ever noticed is the "...selected user has not been logged in for a while" problem - everything else has always seemed to work fine (hence my adding posts to this thread instead of "Massive IT Failure"). The only thing that's changed on my setup is the myAudi app on my phone is now at 3.19.1 instead of 3.18. Maybe MMI software version 3281 has solved the issue and mine will error again tomorrow or maybe... the problem was actually in the cloud and Audi have fixed it for all of us? I'm going to stick with 3248 and see what happens. I'll let you know.

It not to do with MMI software version or MyAudi Ap version. It is a manufacturing issue with the Gateway Control Unit. Just had mine replaced after 6 months of nagging. The unit is manufactured to VIN/Chassis No, the part installed at the factory has now been superseded with a new part available to address the connectivity / log on issue. It is located under the back seat. No issues since replaced.

Hi All - I'm hoping this is my last post on this thread because... (drum roll) my RS4 hasn't asked me to log in now for 3 months! No change to any hardware or software on the car itself so Audi either made a change to something on the web or the phone app or I inadvertently did something that made it start working. If I ever find out, I will let you know. If it starts failing again, I will let you know. If you don't hear from me you can assume it's all good! Take it easy.
