Next Gen 2021 Audi A3 Sedan Debut

I really need to visit an Audi showroom this weekend and have a butchers for myself......but as of late av been doing more charity work for family than Geldolf and Midge Ure done in the 80's...lol

I went last weekend, obviously bought an A4 oiler, but thought id at least get a nosey of an A3
Alas still not even had 1 in yet
Disappointing to say the least
Listers Audi Solihull get a wiggle on

Are they ever going to release a 40 or 45 model? The engines on offer are nearly as bad as those vents

I have just started back this Monday.Been off since 19th of March. Only in for a week and the works closes for two weeks summer break...Go figure? ha ha......
So you will have missed the 4 bank holidays as well then whilst on furlough?!? They have given us them back and rolled them over...check yours!
It works out well for saved/rolled holiday! Normally we have to use them or lose them, but this year they are allowing us to roll them over :) So next year we'll get a week at whit, 3 weeks in the summer, a week at christmas (fixed closures) and 22 days to take at anytime, as we only work Mon-Thurs it's basically an extra 5 weeks and 2 days off :) Total = 10 weeks and 2 days plus all the bank holidays ;)

I have had this discussion with my boss and told him to forget the bank holidays this year. I will do anything to keep my job. money isn't an issue with me at the moment but the thought of not getting another job in engineering where I live worries me somewhat. It's a small family run business and I have known them over half my life so will do anything I can to help the business out.

Been driving past Belfast Audi over the last two days and they have a Turbo Voodoo Blue!! A3 saloon by the entrance door. To be honest, I’m not sure now on the looks, but must stop and take a closer look.

Yeah that's good thinking mate, small firms think more of you! so more room for give and take. Mine don't give a s*** about any of us, we are all just numbers 1 of thousands and that's it.

I was going to post something, but I'll pm you, may get sacked saying it on a forum! :p

I called in last week, they had some really nice stuff in stock. Nearly every model in the showroom was either the RS or S variant, absolutely stunning RS7 and R8, RSQ8, which is massive.

North Wales Audi always have decent stock in whenever I pop in. They have had an R8 in the showroom now for over a year I think...Not sure if there is a discount to be had if anyone is interested?:whistle2:
Might pop in on Saturday and see if they have the new A3 in.

They are now Sytner, what were they before?

Just been on their site, chat window opened up, so I asked the question...they have a new sport back in there, he said they'd rather do appointment only to view as they have limited staff!

Just popped in Audi oldham as we were passing they had a new shape A3 s line saloon in white
thought it looked good from the front and side then my wife pointed out the fake vents at the rear and asked what
was the point of them  the vents look terrible and really ruin the back end even more so in person .

We wasn't allowed to sit in the car but just looking at the interior in person
it will take some getting use to for me i'am just hoping Audi do some sort of Design pack
again as it didn't strike me as special at all .

I personally think the 8V saloon looks better than the new saloon but that opinion
might change when the S/RS3 arrive .

Not exactly ‘wowed’ then & that’s precisely what you do need with a new car :smirk:

Not wowed at all mate especially in saloon form .

Just hope the S3 Sportback looks a lot better .

You've already seen how the S3 Sportback is going to look via the Auditography Youtube link l posted...ie the that Python Yellow car...ableit no 4 exhaust ports, that was a Vorsprung Model £41k car
From my experience Audi tends to save the best for the Facelifted variants.....as do most car makers,at the end of the day you gotta balance out what your gaining by buying the new model over the car you have just now....

It will look like an Sline with different wheels an S3 badge and 4 exhausts, same as the current one.

I best hope hope the rs3 lives up to my expectations
or I’m out
Still have to give my verdict on the peasant version first though see if I like it’s shape and looks in the flesh

The RS3 will be a great car BUT @jassyo06 is right in saying the facelift will likely be the keeper car. Current facelift car immediately made the pre-fl look dated and unfortunately the RS3 tends to be released close to the end of the pre-fl timeline. Hopefully it may be sooner into the timeline on this occasion to give it some fresh-ness but who knows.

My wife’s not amused on anything car related
Which is good for me as she will never sit in my RS anyway
saves on marking my interior she has no respect
Says a car is just a car gets you from A-B
How rude
So does a bus
Catch that then instead b......h
Lol
Love my wife dearly

No rush myself mate........and Python Yellow is Yuk....loads of A1's going around in this colour,l wont buy the new S3 until l drive it simples as that.....l even want to know the tyre brands Audi are using...etc etc..l have even seen Hankook ditch finders on the new RS6....STILL....Looking at individual colours..............cant see me going mainstream...again just would'nt be the same.....new S3 should preview this September...been hearing a few Youtubers mentioning on instagram that they've invited been to the launch

I went through the whole RS3 thing myself....started 2016 drove a couple....driven the TTRS as well Cab and coupe...but to be honest l am so so hard to please as far as cars go and l was'nt willing to lower my spec or go over my budget at all...for myself spec is more important than BHP...My youngest worked for Audi for 5 years....so gotta to see most of the range at home....probably this was Audi just at the end of their Purple Patch Run...pre derv gate, when an RS3 was an RS3...when the entire reason for buying one over a S3 was for the exhaust sound....no longer

Are you buying brand new or used for your next car ? i'am edging towards slightly used for my next car .

Sound not so important these days too old for pops bangs and scaring really old people
They have enough on their plate these days
Looks ,tech and most of any extras I can cram on without going over budget which will be 60k
Thinking pcp with max deposit so bout 26-28 k down then a smaller monthly
Don’t want monthly payments really but don’t want most of my bank roll in a car either

There is a max deposit you can put on a PCP, 30% springs to mind.

Managed to do this on an A6 saloon
£62590 list
£27000 deposit
£234 monthly 44 months
5000 pa
Final payment £25545
3.76% fixed

Seems ok I guess that was with a Audi contribution though of 4K

Doubt I’d get that with an rs3
Lol

My understanding of PCP was to put a relatively low deposit in, certainly no where near 50%. Surely if you have that kind of deposit a straight forward finance agreement makes more sense.

Any time I have gone down the PCP route I have always been advised to put around 10-15%, this was independent advice as well not just from the dealership.

I will be put straight on any finance deals you may suggest
I can pay for the car outright if needs be, but don’t want all eggs in one basket so to speak
I have no outstanding finance
Want to keep monthly payments low ,very low ,Will want almost certainly want to change cars after 4 years
I get itchy feet
Straight finance seems to be costly over 4 years and and interest is a lot higher along with payments
But if I like the car as a keeper I will pay off outstanding balance and sell or just chop it in for a new 1
It’s more about the monthly instalments
Low instalments I won’t notice going out so much

I get where your coming from putting more in as a deposit to get the low monthlies I do the same .

Everybody as different views on finance and how they buy cars i try and pay cars off as quick as possible
as you save a fortune in interest but that's just me .

Do what is rite for you .
