yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Very envious!

It's exactly 100 days since I ordered mine. Only at status 30 but at least it's progressing. Hopefully mine arrives as quickly as its a real pain being without a vehicle.

Do we have typical timescales to move from one code to another?

In regards to production once it has started production it only takes a week for it to leave the factory. However the factory is closing soon for the new model so production will stop until late august. So sadly don't expect any updates anytime soon. A lot of people who have ordered cars this month have been told 2021 delivery. what code is your on at the moment?

Sadly 00 - I only ordered at the end of June, and I’m not expecting the car is built until October. I’m obviously checking the tracker every day, out of excitement, but I will wind this down if we’re talking weeks for the moves between the first codes. As an aside, how soon do you typically get a specific build week? I don’t yet see one stated.

The Sale date on mine was 23rd December 2019 and went into production on the week beginning 23rd March 2020. By previous posts I think its between 2 and 3 months to get a build slot. Unfortunately I have no idea how soon you can see the date for your slot as mine was already built by the time I ordered it.

Build slots all depend on how many the dealership has allocated in a set period. Some have much more than others, hence some have shorter waiting time for a build slot and others have longer even when ordered around the same time.

Obviously the move back and forward depending on demand. I got my build week in May, 2 months before the the build date.

Quick question, how long does it normally take for a car to be transported to dealer after It has gone to status 40?

If you ask Audi they’ll say up to 4 weeks but most in various forums are suggesting within a week

Mine arrived at the dealer 7 days after going to status 40

If you look above was status 40 on 10/7 and arrived at Swindon Audi Friday 17/10

I'm very impatient :) Hopefully it gets to my dealer this week. As I'm going away in a couple weeks and would be perfect if I had it before then.

I understand that the factory is closed now for tooling change, and will re-open in august?

I assume mine is coming from a Belgian port assuming it left Brussels factory but not sure where it’s going to.
It looks like it was Build completed just before lockdown but only went to code 30 on 4th July. Dealer still won’t confess it’s not actually in the UK but Sales manager now assuring me it will be ready to collect by end July. They just really need July sales numbers!

well another week on and still no sign of my car. Audi CS still saying it’s somewhere in Emden but at least know now it’s coming into Sheerness whenever it leaves. It didn’t make the Malacca Highway on Tues even though it left the Audi side of the port (assume it will be doing VW on next run so a longer wait).
Dealer made me chuckle yesterday, first proactive contact since the order to say the Sales manager has asked the uk port to prioritise the car, they are still sticking to their view it’s in Uk. Short of getting a docker to swim to Emden not sure that’ll work.
They have agreed that if it’s not on the move by Friday they’ll hold the car and deal for 1st Sept - makes me think they know it’s still in Emden.
Only nagging doubt is why the tracker only shows me status 30 in the data history. Perhaps the dealer does know more

Strangely mine has just jumped from 20 to 30 overnight! Time to start getting excited me thinks. Hopefully any backlog will have gone when mine gets to Emdem ;-)

Getting it to leave the factory is the easy bit! There doesn’t seem to be much logic in when a car gets on a boat. Some have been on one in weeks of getting to Emden others two months.
I have a theory if you’re a factory order you stand a better chance. Stock cars are probably still seen as dealer cars and probably de-prioritised in the backlog

You are correct. Factory orders are marked as sold - they therefore get priority over stock cars. This was confirmed to me by my dealer.

Just had the long awaited phone call from my dealer to let me know my car has arrived at the dealership and as going through PDI.

Delivery at dealer to collection was 2 days

Think we are both in the same boat my A4 has been sat at Emden since the 16th of May. Hopefully won't be long till the backlog is cleared.
Mine landed in the UK yesterday so yours either has too or should be here shortly

Mine had a build date of 13th July according to the tracker but hasn't started. Spoke with Audi UK and they've said the car hasn't got a build date yet! Very strange

Does it sound like things are speeding up a bit? Or is that wishful thinking...?!

I really hope so but not convinced.
Audi CS told me Yesterday there are sailings daily but I’ve also read on other forums that it depends where a ship is docked in Emden as to whether it’s carrying Audi’s or VWs (more than happy to be corrected on this point!!)
The last ship to leave the Audi side was on Tuesday.
I’m 3 weeks in since leaving the factory and can’t even get my car on a dinghy

I don’t know why I’m thinking about it - I’m a month in from ordering and am still at status 00!

Well this morning just disproved all my theories! My car has now moved to status 39 overnight so assume it’s on the Malacca Highway that sailed yesterday from what I thought was the VW side of Emden.
Has anyone had a car land in the UK on a weekend and had it ready to collect by the end of the following week?

Arrived in the UK last Friday - 17th July at Sheerness and it is at the dealership as of yesterday, so 7 days from arrival port to dealer.
Picked my reg yesterday, and should be collecting soon.

That’s given me hope! Given the dealer thought it was here weeks ago they’ve already put a call in to the port to prioritise it

Status 40 on mine as of Thursday. Hoping it arrives this week as its a struggle without a car getting to work!
I fear it will be the following week though.

That'll be 16/17 weeks from order to delivery in my case.

Mine was albeit a day short of 21 weeks.

Its in having windows tinted today and full ceramic coating the week after
