Thought my car was a CVT Multitronic, but the PR Codes say Tiptronic?

Hi all, I'm confused as I purchased my car 6 months ago and it was listed as a multitronic ( cvt ) and I know these aren't the best transmissions but bought it anyway.

After checking my PR codes it seems to be telling me that I have a TipTronic? ( code 0G7 )

Does anyone know how to properly read these codes, as I just used : http://prsearch.planetvag.com/

Should the codes contain the letter 'o' or are they zeros?

So you really don't know what transmission is in your car? They behave completely differently. Tiptronic is like any other auto transmission, Multitronic holds (most of the time) static RPMs while accelerating

Well it's my first Automatic, but yes, I knew it was a multitronic when I bought the car, and researched CVT transmissions.
I guess the codes just confused me, especially as they are supposed to make identifying models easier.

It seems in this case, Audi use the same codes for more than one model, which is pretty confusing.
I guess a more accurate title would have been "why do my vehicles PR codes not match my transmission type?"

What is the gearbox code on the sticker should be next to the engine code like the one in red. That the best way of telling you exactly what gearbox you have. PR Codes are more for the options fitted.

LDV is 100% Multitronic box, make sure it's had it required oil changes.

Yes I have read some horror stories about CVT failures, so the first job I had done within a couple of weeks of getting the car was to get the oil changed.
Thanks.
