Hi, I am new to the forum, nice to be here, I am after some advice please if u don't mind, I have an 2004 Audi A4 1.9tdi estate, a little while ago the engine management light came on so I had the car plugged it and it said air mass sensor/ air volume circuit a low, I have replaced the whole mass airflow unit and checked for live etc the plug which attaches to the mass sensor, and all seems good as I have a live reading, I have replaced the air filter at the same time as the mass unit and checked all the rubber and plastic air hoses from perishing and cracks but again all seems good, I have turned the eml off using the machine but as soon as I turn off the ignition and put it back on the light comes back on, if I start the car and turn the eml off it stays off but car is still sluggish it does approx 60 mph in 6th gear and no more, again turn off ignition, turn on ignition light is back on, I am out of ideas now folks, hoping someone can help, cheers.

Sorry guys should of also put on the post that I have disconnected the battery for about 40mins and reconnected it to try n clear ecu, but unfortunately it hasn't worked.
There are several sources of VAG TDI online forums where they suggest a link between EGR problems and these problems causing erroneous MAF sensor error codes. I'm not saying categorically that this is the problem - but it may be an area to investigate further.
I have a snap on normal plug in machine, to be fair I'm Abit of novice at all this, wat is vagcom?? And wat is the difference between that and any other scanner please.

I could not afford a desktop version of Vagcom $6K system tool. I did buy an Autel Tech handheld that does VAG as well as OBDII standard diagnostics. It costs a more reasonable $60USD which I’ve had 5-6 years. VAG indicates Volkswagen, Audi compatible diagnostics, OBDII is the more general manufacturer standard diagnostics.

Sounds like your EGR valve, turbo clogged or a problem I had with an old SEAT Toledo 1.9tdi was that the turbo accusation vacuum hose had come off.
