Q5 Extended Lighting Retrofit - advice needed

Hi all,

Have been browsing the forum for a few months now since picking up my Q5 (FY Sept 2017) Decided to join as I need some advice and keen to understand what everyone else is upto with their cars.

So anyway.... there are a few things I’m hoping to do with my Q5 one of which is retrofitting the car with the extended ambient lighting (Colour changing on the dash and footwell)

I was a bit gutted to discover the car only has the standard white lighting on the doors and foot wells despite having the comfort and sound pack. Should definitely have double checked this when I picked it up but assumed the comfort and sound pack had the extended interior lighting but don’t think this was the case in 2017 when my model was built.

I’ve done some digging now on possible solution but cannot for the life of me find anything clear.

I’ve also found a really good part diagram but it does not include part numbers for the parts I think I would actually need.

Can anyone please offer me some advice or point me in the right direction. Am I missing something as to why the information is so elusive?
