Hi all, my s3 just turned 3 years so had a haldex oil change at main dealer and on the way home the TCLight came on and does on hard acceleration. I’ve never had it light up before. Any ideas ?

Mine comes on under soft acceleration.

Wheel-speed sensors are supposed to detect when one drive wheel is spinning faster than the others — meaning the vehicle is slipping or losing traction. The system will then reduce power and/or apply the brakes to that wheel. Braking the spinning wheel allows the power to go to the other drive wheel or wheels that have more traction.

This I understand , my problem is that in the last Three years I’ve not had it light up before

Haldax filter blocked and per Audi servicing they don’t clean this and if let not fixed puts pump in safe mode!

Once pump removed filter cleaned need to be reprogrammed others or you’ll get wheel spin on front wheel!

Take it to an Audi Indy dealer

Has been cover here quite a few times!

Haldex Gen5 oil change and gauze clean.

Don't waste money on that.

You will need to drive the car some miles for the pump to adapt and regulate the voltage because of the reduced resistance from the filter, that's it.

I guess I made my point clear here: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threa...ge-and-gauze-clean.379347/page-3#post-3538554

That said, I will try doing some logging myself and make the reprogramming with VCDS and see if it changes anything. I'll be back!

I know you're referring to https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/generation-5-haldex-fault-finding-repair-guide/

And looking at his graphs he uses the output from user Viking in this thread: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?17963-No-Haldex-function

The thing is that Viking seems to have a low SW version on his Haldex pump where the issue would have been corrected in a later firmware: https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?17963-No-Haldex-function&p=161118&viewfull=1#post161118

The fact that haldexrepairs.co.uk base their findings on a low SW haldex controller just tells me that they actually just want to earn money on people that don't know what this is about.

I deal with claims and we get more complaints from dealers than we do with out indy garages. I dont trust dealers at all, they hide things, refuse to fix things and will pretty much commit fraud to line their pockets, hence nissan and VAG group major scandals which were not done by accident.

I would take my brand new ferrari to my mate if I had one lol, but would take it to the dealer to maintain the warranty only, then move to a indy.

It beats me why people are still taking their cars to Audi outside a warranty.

And for insurance claims, it does not devalue your vehicle with a full Audi history against a indy service history.

Even that warranty is dodgy.. once u try to claim something u cared off they not gonna accept they will be telling you songs ''unfortunately this isn't covered by warranty'sorry you have to pay etc..
