Hi there,

I have collected all the components to fit Brembo 18z calipers.
When tried to fit them i run into a bit of issue.

One of the calipers fits perfectly and sits right in between the rotor (left side) when the right caliper when mounted is resting against the rotor. We are looking for around 4 to 5mm too close to the center of the car.

The uprights are the same, same calipers, same rotors.
The only option is the wheel hubs are different.

Dose anyone have some info on different front hubs on those B5`s ?

Any info much appreciated
Thanks in advance ;)

Andrew

Attaching some photos of the fitment

Right side:
20200703 134646 min

20200703 134639 min

Right side sits perfectly

Left side:
20200702 184248 min

20200702 184244 min

As you can see the l;eft side is off by few mm.

Ignore the fact that the caliper is upside down.

Any info regarding the front wheel hubs much appreciated.

Cheers

Such an interesting build you've got going there but this forum seems to be going very silent in the B5 section. What ever happened to Kevin? Anagorn or what his nickname was, he used to advice everyone on everything in here, now people hardly get any input here. I'd love to help you out but have no clue about the hubs tbh.

I'm relatively new here so don't what use to be like but is seams little quiet.
I've spaced out one of the adapters for now. Those hubs should have a part number on it but not those ones. Not to worry, I'll get there in the end. Thanks

Think Aragorn moved over to the BMW side, but as the B5 is 20+ years old there are fewer on the road so less people have them, there is also very little to discuss as all the common faults on the car have already been discussed and a quick google search will help find the issue. There are dedicated S & RS forums than deal with the higher models.

Did he, that's too bad, he was the legend here at least from the time I remember few years ago. I get what you mean, there are a lot less of them on the road now but still would be nice to get more input in here.
