I have some broken wires in the usual part of the door harnesses in the area between the door and the body of the car. Rather than patch in repairs with soldering or butt connectors I thought I might have a go at replacing the old wire with new and put a fresh crimp terminal on the end. I have a spare harness to practise on.

The problem I have is that there seems to be so many different terminals available with different part numbers that I have no idea which to buy. I need the two larger ones measuring 20mm long (arrowed) rather than the smaller ones for the thinner wires.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of which ones I need to buy?

Looks like a 000979225e, but it all depends on the wire gauge, you need to check the schematics to see which wire size it is, if it's a 2.5 then this will do it.

Sometimes you can reuse the pin ends by removing existing wire & refitting to pin, crimps with small nose pliers & little solder.

OK, NHN was correct, the pins I needed were indeed 000979225E.

Now I need the very small ones that connect to the thinnest wires. They measure 14mm in length.

Apologize for the bump. Did you ever find these? I need the exact same connectors and cannot find a suitable replacement.

If you mean the the pic in post 4, its 000979009

Yes the pic for post #4. The small "14mm". The results of looking up 000979009 I found Macroconn repair kits. Seems like it's exactly the part I need. Is there a diagram or database I can look up to find these numbers? I was having a hard time finding diagrams online for wiring connectors and looms. Really just want know how you know the numbers!

Sadly I've not yet resolved this issue yet as other things have taken precedence.

I did though buy a selection of different sized connectors from ebay that look like they might do the job. The part numbers are 000979225E, 000979227E and 000979009E.

Appreciate the response. I saw a thread with a similar issue and was hoping to see part numbers. Hopefully you listing them all will help other random googlers in the future! Have a good one!

No problem, I hope it helps.
