Hi,

I am planning to install cruise control into my car and need to acquire the new cruise stick and lower steering column cover.

does anyone know the best place to get these and the part numbers I’ll need.
 
Scrap yard or Ebay. I was lucky kid was breaking his Audi £15 inc covers

Buy new parts from Audi & search the forum it's been detailed quite a bit, along with part numbers.
 
Yeah I’ve had a look on there but some people are wanting £140 for the kit. I’m sure I can get it cheaper than that
 
I paid £110 from Audi @ Stamford including delivery.

Don't worry about the lower steering cover, yours will be marked on the inside, just cut it out carefully and save the money.

Do these just plug straight in and work?
Many years ago i had CC retrofitted into a VAG car and it needed activating on VAGCOM and a power supply running through the firewall into the ECU.
Glad my current car has it as standard.
 
@Daveyonthemove No after fitting they will need coding with vcds, nothing else needed though other than the stalk. But on the pf there's also a second wire that comes with the kit.
