Hi Guys

I have a facelift RS3 Sportback.

The paddles could be bigger, can anyone point me in the right direction for a quality but sensibly priced set?

Could someone also clarify the nuances of the fitment as I read somewhere that the facelift items are different?

thanks

I’d like some as well but think they look horrendous when the merely stick on to the back of the oem paddles.

I have them and after they are fitted you dont look at them again. I like them and they are solid, feel good.

There is a guy on Facebook doing copy lambo ones made from ABS plastic

Yeah, I bought the lambo urus copies from instagram - believe they were the same ones advertised on facebook.

His Instagram is - jt_rs3

Do you like them and can you post some pics.

Yeah, they seem good . I have not yet installed them, hope to do it over the weekend. Air Bag needs to come out.

Thanks, Let us know how they look and feel when you get them on.

How much were they.

O/T I wanted to put R8 paddles on my RS4 but Audi couldn't or wouldn't confirm they would fit meaning I'd have to buy them at risk and try it out! Shame as they look amazing.

Worse I'd say which I thought would be impossible!

Example - brake pad warning light so booked the car in to check it. Checked car yes pads are low. Booked car in to change pads. Called me to say no pads at all in the UK so delayed appointment. On appointment date I arrived to be told no pads sorry. Booked another one. Turned up again left car with them. Call at end of day to say your pads are low sir we need to book you in!

Are the genuine Lambo ones metal?
For the cost of them they should be titanium.

The first thing I noticed when I test drove the rs3 was the cheap feeling paddles, what a let down.

I used to have an Evo X and it had a nice set of aluminium paddles with a very positive feel. The same paddles were used on their base model cars as well, they were miles ahead of the junk on the Audi.

I did see a review of the latest RS4 which had metal paddles, maybe the new RS3 might get them also? Agree that this is disappointing from Audi on the S/RS models, the Alfa Guila paddles look amazing in comparison!

Its ironic isn't it, the R8 paddles are fine and work well (edit: just to be clear on the R8!) but I was looking into replacing them with Urus paddles as they shouldn't be plastic and should be a little bigger imo. Some paddles out there just look pants though.
In the US in particular loads of people have swopped paddles around different models of R/RS.

kind of a paddle related question, noticed in a few videos the rev counter certain areas going green, amber and red when using the paddles, is this an option that needs turned on? had a play with the paddles yesterday and mine doesnt do this?

Strange. Were you in Dynamic?

push the stick to the left so its manual mode and try again ;-)

was in dynamic and sport in auto mode, just pressed the down shift paddle to change to M. I take it I need to move the stick to the left for it to work properly?

If you select gear with paddles it doesn't put you in to manila mode, just merely overrides the current gear temporarily. Need to flick the level for proper manual mode and light show.

Don't forget that the new metal RS4 paddles are actually smaller than the current RS3 plastic paddles which is a big no no from me!

got the light show in manual today, now that i was doing it properly lol

Oh really? That’s a no from me then to! I don’t mind the plastic ones and forgive them as they are bigger than those in my previous S3 and S4!!

I ended up with these honeycomb versions from HG Motorsport - not to everyone’s taste but fine for me
