cheers mate,l just ordered one from this link you provided.....Turning out an expensive old game this for me.....and if l am honest not a fan of the black logos on the rear as l preferred the chrome finish but would look stupid mixing them
I didn’t want to say earlier, but now you have @jassyo06, I agree that I prefer the chrome rings on the back, plus, I also prefer chrome on the front & the S3 badges, as I think it looks classier.
Couldn't mix n match mate but l am sure a potential younger buyer will like them when l sell it on ....once this planet gets back to its normal fubar self....

So i contacted Crewe Audi and they will send me out the correct sized rear emblem....if l send the one on the car back to them which should'nt be a problem as its about to fall off anyway's lol it just has'nt adhered to the boot lid properly because it's too big,given that l will have 2 emblems by next week l have one up for grabs if yer interested @Jimbob76 yours gratis mate...
I think the black rings on the rear are cracking mate, I put black on the wife’s car also but didn’t go for audi one this time front rings were a few mm smaller in width but apart from that very happy also. Just need to source a front black grill surround.

Mate that’s very generous of you to offer. And good to know that a correct size OEM rear emblem does exist. I think if and when I do get round to doing this I’ll go full OEM as well. Appreciate your offer though - you’re a gent. If you can’t be ***** to send it back for a refund, perhaps offer it up on the Pay It Forwards thread?
I’m not feeling like spending much on the car at the moment - it’s not getting used enough. I last filled it up with petrol in mid-March, and I still have half a tank left 3 months later. I’m starting to question why I’ve got so much cash tied up in the damn thing.

Used P&S beadmaker for the second time today.
First coating at the last wash I wasn’t too convinced - it seemed to need a fair bit of product.
Second use / topping up again today - thought the finish is excellent and hardly any product needed.
Will certainly get again.

Came out brand new. What did u use?
A7 3.0tdi 272 Black Edition Mythos Black Tech pack
B&M apparently, Mrs got them to clean the sofas, used about a dozen wipes but did the gear gaitor and handbrake stitching too.
(Still use proper stuff for the leather tho)
They did an excellent job colour matching, I’ll get some better pictures up soon. I did quite a bit of research, and got various recommendations. I think it was well priced, £550 for the rear bumper to be repaired and resprayed, and the whole bonnet being resprayed also.
Tried this stuff out on the Fiat Ducato we're currently converting to a camper van - not the cheapest stuff (£40 for 350ml) but really impressed with the results.

It’s great stuff and the small 30ml bottle would have definitely done the van a few times if the bigger bottle is a bit overkill. I wish I’d gone for it now but hey ho I’ve got it at least.
this is the only ‘before’ picture I can find when it had been sat in storage for 6 month (before my ownership) but you can see the huge difference it has made

that is also my concern but I’ve read good things about the longevity, I’m expecting to have to to reapply a few times considering the condition they were in previously but hopefully I can keep on top of it.

A few clean shots, shows how well the rear bumper is colour matched, I’m happy with it, the only thing letting the side down is the front bumper which has too many stone chips for a touch up pen to make a difference and the halogens aren’t very pretty.

Car looks really nice now mate why dont you upgrade all the Halogen bulbs in the headlights to a 5000k tempreture ie nice white look,will look a lot better
Thanks, it's getting there! Ideally, I want bi-xenon headlights like the edition 35, or maybe OSRAM Xenarc headlights which are road legal and look quite nice. I'm not a fan of the HID look to be honest. There are some replica kits which look identical to the ED35 headlights for around £400 which is tempting.

They are lovely cars; the technology really isn't there in terms of infotainment and driver aids but that also means there is more emphasis on actually driving the car. To be honest I don't really miss the tech on my old 8V A3, and after test driving the new MK8 Golf I can appreciate the engineering of my car a bit more, the quality of all the materials is so much nicer as the money wasn't really spent on tech. And I agree, the bumper is more of a priority for me than the headlights.
After the post lock down wash yesterday I gave the X3 a coat a Gyeon Cure - last clean was just before lockdown
While the MF was still damp with product I did the wheels & black exhaust tips as well

Not sure how I feel about that tyre gel, one thing is for certain, the "special" applicator pad thing they advertise for it is ****.

Forgot how good it was TBH Nev having not used it for some time before using it on the X3
'Tis the only product that has been applied to the X3, altho that was not my intention when I got it
For me I just don't see the need to use anything else - I always QD after a clean so this is the ideal product for me as Cure is more like a QD+ IMHO
Ye need te cast yer mind back even further to the last time you used a quality wax because....like you and @X3man - nev l was using spray on products like fireballs coating wax ie similar to wet coat....gyeon wet coat etc etc.....but in the last couple of months l been using a wax again and all l can say they bead better and give off a glossier look than any of the above mentioned products Autoglyms UHD wax to exact.....a doddle to apply/remove above 18 degrees....the extra effort is worth it
I am sure wax is awesome mate, but for me, Cure is perfect top up to the Gyeon Q2 Pure, and then even better is CanCoat, that stuff is unbelievable! The gloss, water run off and ease of cleaning is insane. Not cheap, but one “can” will do about 6-8 cars (coats)
