Hi Adam, I've only just noticed that your car is now wrapped. What a surprise from the white. It looks fantastic.
I can't think of anything I'd want to swap the c43 for so might do this later on to change from the dreaded black.
How long do they say it will last for?
Did your insurance go up much in the end?

Hi Sara, thanks for the comments. I've still got more pictures to upload but things have gotten in the way.

It really depends! But as long as you clean it with PH neutral shampoo/cleaners, and remove bird mess as soon as possible (within 24 hours). He said it can be around 5 years. It'll naturally degrade due to UV damage but then the plus side is you can remove and you have pristine paint work should you wish to sell etc etc. No increase in my insurance! They don't care as they said it's not a performance increase so just an admin fee I had to pay.

Definitely check first with insurance as read plenty of stories of people getting it done and then their insurance won't insure them any more, large increases and so on but I'm sure you would if you were going to! I've also informed DVLA of the colour change so waiting on my V5 (still it's been 5 weeks!)

Yeah. Colour change takes the longest v5c time as only 3 people work in the department

Hi.
If anyone ever has any issues with insurance for a vinyl wrap then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.

Thanks Adam. Looks great. So many colours to choose from, I don't know how you decide.
I wouldn't be doing it for a couple of years if I did it.
Yours looks great

My top tip would definitely spend the time finding a decent company, I drive 2 and a half hours for mine but totally worth it. Most places I visited would send free samples, so check the main companies 3M/Avery Dennison and go from there. Instagram is great to find cars wrapped in a certain colour you might like as well.

I'd sooner eat toe nails than insure with Adrian Flux

I feel sorry for my car, it's done 350 miles in 5 months now! Doesn't stop me cleaning it every other week though haha.

How have you found the cleaning Adam?

Mine is probably less than that mate! 2nd service was done last year on 29/10/2019 @ 6,573 mile, I'm just coming up to 8,300 nine months later :D

I assume a bad experience then?
Not really.... I was insured with them many moons ago with an m3 engined e30, approx £350
Sold car halfway through policy, I had an e36 318is sitting around, so phoned Adrian Flux to change vehicle.
£1500. YEP fifteen hundred quid.
Apparently because it wasn't modified, so I listed a few mods like wheels and tints. Brought the price down to £750.
I told them to foxtrot Oscar
Which because I was halfway through a policy, they wanted £120 for me to cancel my policy.
Told them foxtrot Oscar again and I've NEVER insured with them AGAIN EVER.

Boils my ****, so much so. That this week I found out that the parent company of my bike insurance companies is Adrian Flux. So that got cancelled also.
Proper shower of **** company.

So no, not a bad experience.... just a company that failed to keep a customer happy! F**k AF
